METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING TEMPORAL CONVOLUTION IN SPATIOTEMPORAL NEURAL NETWORKS

Abstract

Disclosed is a neural network system generally relates to the field of neural networks (NNs). In particular, the present disclosure relates to event-based convolutional neural networks (NNs) that are trained to process spatial and temporal data using kernels represented by polynomial expansion. The event-based convolutional neural networks (NNs) are spatiotemporal neural networks. According to an embodiment, an explicit temporal convolution capability is added through Temporal Event-based Neural Networks (TENN) models. or TENNs in the spatiotemporal neural networks. The TENNs includes a plurality of temporal and spatial convolution layers that combine spatial and temporal features of data for low-level and high-level features. The TENNs as disclosed herein are configured to perform in a buffer mode and recurrent mode that effectively learns both spatial and temporal correlations from the input data.”

It’s insanely frustrating… Every time some good news pops up while the share price keeps falling day after day, it feels like a slap in the face. And this has nothing to do with whether you’re invested for the long term or whether the company is making real technological progress. People kept saying, “How is a company supposed to become interesting to institutions without a roadmap?” Now we finally have one, and the manipulators and short sellers are going full throttle… why nothing can be done about it is beyond me.

I’d honestly prefer we stop with the empty slogans like “explosive sales incoming” or “watch us now,” or “big news by the end of this year,” when you already know nothing’s coming. That frustrates those of us who’ve been holding and averaging down for at least 10 years, and it weakens trust because it’s starting to sound unbelievable. Just my feeling…

And yeah, people can start attacking me again with the usual “then sell” or “you’re shorting anyway.” I don’t care! As a genuine investor it’s my right to question things
Ive never seen a company have patents ,news and company interests but nothing shareprice wise

The Megachips agreement has run it's 4 year term, I do expect some sort of company update, as in, have they extended the initial 4 year license agreement, are we still working in with their engineering teams on any automotive, industrial IoT modules and so on
.
As Megachips haven't been removed from our current website and it being 10 December, one is left thinking that an announcement must be pending, one way or the other, as communications are on the improve, well, they seem to be in my view, but I always keep an open mind on that subject.

Keeping positive, hope you lot are trying as well.... cheers for now...Tech 🏒 ❤️

Hi Buzz Aldrin, did we really land on Tothemoon24 🫢🤣 ?

Thanks for your update, if that is the case, two things come to mind, first we can't moan because we did receive 2 payments and secondly, we can question why they decided to check out our technology in the first place, hope those patent wires are nice and tight.

Finally, the company MUST release information IF Megachips have extended an agreement or remove them ASAP off our homepage, because misinformation or misleading stakeholders will turn into a very messy situation very quickly, so let's hear it Sean..yay or nay...have they pissed us off or not?

Just my self-centred comments..God bless All BRN supporters..Tech 🏒 👍

Last time Brainchip failed to lodge , they informed the ASX that they had the necessary policy and procedures in place to ensure that they can meet their disclosure obligations .

So , is this another incompetent oversight , or is Sean unable to advise the trustee due to governance compliance ?

PS : I don’t think it is incompetence this time .

All in my opinion ……..

A short new video by Pietro Andronico, CEO & Founder of Nurjana Technologies, reveals what NEBULA stands for: Nurjana Event Based Unit for Light Acquisition.

Check out the video on LinkedIn - below are some still pictures.

Sounds as if Nurjana’s Spacetech division has ambitious plans that - should their dreams come true - will take them to the Moon and beyond.

And possibly Akida, too?

Chiara Ceccobello, Gothenburg-based Project Manager for ESA Phi-Lab Sweden and Researcher at RISE - Research Institutes of Sweden announced three projects today, “driving the future of AI-on-the-edge for space applications. These initiatives mark a major step toward enabling autonomous, responsive, and efficient space systems for Sweden and Europe.”

One of the three projects launched by ESA Phi-Lab is called VAIAS - Validation of an AI Accelerator for Space (November 2025 - November 2027), in which BrainChip is involved via GR801:

“A collaboration between Frontgrade Gaisler and Rapidity Space, VAIAS will validate the GR801 neuromorphic AI accelerator, designed for onboard autonomy under radiation-prone conditions. This disruptive technology will enable real-time inference for Earth Observation, deep space and robotic missions.”

CallESA Phi-Lab Sweden: Edge AI in space

Purpose and goal

The project addresses a growing market for energy-efficient, fault-tolerant onboard AI computing capable of replacing ground-based processing/power-hungry accelerators ill-suited for space environments. GR801 combines Brainchip Akida IP with Frontgrade Gaisler NOELV fault-tolerant CPU, to deliver reliable inference at the edge in space. The project objectives are two key commercialization enablers: radiation validation of GR801 and AI S/W ecosystem and neuromorphic demonstrator by Rapidity Space

Expected effects and result

The project will deliver a GR801 component validated for space environments and also extensions to the AI SW eco-system. The intended impact is to increase autonomy in European space systems, energy-efficient space missions, support for emerging AI-at-the-edge applications, and potential spillover into adjacent domains such as climate monitoring and robotics. This will contribute to AI hardware and software innovations and accelerating the transition of AI edge computing from lab to orbit.

Planned approach and implementation

Frontgrade Gaisler will start with a preparatory study in WP1 on use cases and customer intelligence. The results will act as a basis for work packages WP4 and WP5 where the project will focus on the ecosystem around AI software and neuromorphic sensing/computing. WP1 will be carried out by Frontgrade Gaisler and the results will be transferred to Rapidity Space which carries out WP4 and WP5. In parallel, validation of the GR801 will be performed by Frontgrade Gaisler in WP2 and WP3.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.

ESA Phi-Lab opens in Sweden

ESA Phi-Lab is a strategic programme for the commercialisation of space technology innovations from the European Space Agency, ESA. RISE has now been selected to run ESA Phi-Lab Sweden with the aim of accelerating AI and edge learning in the space sector.

ESA Phi-Lab Sweden is part of a European network of Phi-Labs (the Phi-Lab NET) that will strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in the space sector. The goal of ESA Phi-lab Sweden is to strengthen Sweden’s innovative power and position in the space market, by promoting the exchange of ideas, resources and knowledge to develop commercial concepts and applications that leverage the advances made in AI and edge-learning.

“ESA welcomes Phi-Lab Sweden as the tenth centre in the ESA Phi-Lab NET. Phi-Labs aim at bridging the gap between the research and commercial world and channel research efforts into developing commercially viable applications, products and solutions. Thanks to their expertise and world-class facilities, RISE and the Phi-Lab Sweden consortium will provide unique opportunities to entities interested in generating innovation in the space sector by using AI and edge learning.”, says Roberto Cossu, the Head of Innovation Services in the ESA Commercialisation Services Department.

RISE role is to be responsible for the management of ESA Phi-Lab Sweden for 6 years and, with support from Vinnova, will hold open calls and award Seed Fundings for research activities during the first four years of the project.

“With the broad expertise that exists within RISE and the project’s partner organisations, together with the breadth of test and demo facilities that exist within RISE in everything from materials development to the development of AI algorithms, the innovations of the future can be tested under realistic conditions,” says Tobias Edman, Head of Data Platforms and Systems at RISE.

Through collaboration with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF), and the Swedish Space Corporation (SSC), the project brings together different aspects of space activities in research, academia and industry. With a total budget of EUR 5.2 million, the initiative is financed half nationally through Vinnova and half through ESA, with support from the Swedish National Space Agency.

“ESA Phi-Lab Sweden offers unique opportunities to test AI and edge-learning on both hardware and software. It increases the pace of innovation, reduces risks and streamlines development.”, says Chiara Ceccobello, the ESA Phi-Lab Sweden project manager.

licensing agreements don't have to be renewed yearly; they can be short-term, long-term, or even perpetual, depending on what the licensor and licensee agree upon in the contract, but you must plan for either annual reviews or specific renewal clauses for longer deals to ensure terms, payments, and IP rights (like patents or trademarks) stay relevant and maintained. The "old" license can continue if the agreement specifies renewal, is perpetual, or tied to the life of the underlying IP, but it's crucial to define the term and renewal process upfront.

So we may well see royalties if a product was developed from this without a renewal, imo.

Would it not be fair to assume such a question would NOT be openly responded to with 💯 facts ,considering it is asked by an outside rather than between the two parties. I am not 100 % you would get a straight forward yes or no to this one as it's a confidential discussion between Megachip and brainchip, imo.
