Michael Dell the CEO of Dell says that by 2025 75% of all connected devices will be at the edge, currently around 10% only is at the edge and let’s face it, it’s not the “far edge”

For those who are wondering why it takes so long to go from engagement to market see the Onsor Nexa timetable below. Its 5 years for life changing wearables and it would be longer for life saving wearables, eg Heart issue warnings.
We know there were a number of partners using AKIDA from 2020 onwards so these should be bearing fruit in the next year or so.

It's frustrating but unfortunately there are no shortcuts. We also know that Parsons, RTX and Bascom Hunter are on the way.

Onsor actually started in 2021 with the Intel Research Community but gave them the 'flick' for AKIDA.
Mercedes may have done the same as Loihi is not a commercially available product.

Mercedes-Benz is utilizing multiple neuromorphic processors across its research and development efforts for autonomous driving, energy-efficient AI, and sensor processing, with no single one deployed universally in production vehicles as of late 2025. The most prominent examples include:
Intel Loihi 2: This is actively used in the Naomi4Radar project, a German government-funded initiative led by Mercedes to optimize radar data processing for automated driving systems. It enables faster, event-driven responses in forward-facing radar, potentially reducing energy use by up to 90% compared to conventional systems. This collaboration builds on broader neuromorphic research with Intel.
BrainChip Akida: Integrated into the Vision EQXX concept vehicle (showcased in 2022) for in-cabin keyword spotting (e.g., "Hey Mercedes" wake word detection), where it delivers 5–10x greater efficiency than traditional AI methods. While primarily a concept demonstrator, BrainChip's technology is positioned for broader automotive scaling, including potential production use in edge AI for sensors and ADAS.
Mercedes is also exploring neuromorphic cameras and end-to-end AI learning through partnerships like the University of Waterloo, but specific processors beyond Loihi 2 and Akida remain in early research stages. These efforts aim to enhance safety, visibility in poor conditions, and overall vehicle efficiency.

"In practical terms, acting in a responsible and ethical manner towards stakeholders (such as customers, employees, community and the environment) is necessary for the promotion of the interests of the company and its sustainability, and builds long-term value for shareholders.
Of course, this does not mean that all stakeholders will be satisfied with every decision taken, given stakeholder interests will be diverse."

The BOD have to prioritise long term value for holders over short term value - its the horse we are riding..
As the timeframes to revenue are lengthy (we are closing in on the future though) the BOD has had to remain firmly focused on the long term. This the reason for LDA cap raisings - the alternative is and was going broke.
Another aspect is that case law is very firm that Directors fiduciary duty is the entity and not individual holders.
The cornerstone case was Percival v Wright (1902) - UK but applies here as much as it did in 1902.
Briefly a group of individual holders of Nixon’s Navigation Co. approached the Directors to buy their shares. The directors after negotiations purchased the shares. Unbeknown to the holders during negotiations the Directors were also negotiating sell the entire company to a third party (Holden) which would have substantially increased the share value - the negotiations subsequently fell through though.
The shareholders later sued alleging nondisclosure of the negotiations.
The shareholder's lost their case on the basis that Directors duties are to the entity and not individual holders.
The case pretty much lets holders know where they stand - its basically 'like it or lump it' when it comes to the BOD setting a course for the business.
