Hi @Fullmoonfever,
I stumbled across the same publication yesterday and just like you couldn’t find out more details either.
However, what I did discover was that Mandava Kranthi Kiran is an Assistant Professor at the Department for Computer Science Engineering at GITAM (Gandhi Institute of Technology) Deemed University* in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh as well as Assistant Director of the Center for Extended Reality (CXR) at GITAM:
*“In India, a deemed university or deemed-to-be-university is an accreditation granted to higher educational institutions by the Ministry of Education.[1][2] According to the ministry's definition, the accreditation indicates, "an Institution of higher education, other than universities, working at a very high standard in specific area of study" and the accreditation grants "the academic status and privileges of a university".[3]”

As for Aruna Thethali, I found an (undated) CV as well as a LinkedIn profile, which has very little info, though, and no posting activity.
Aruna Thethali is an Assistant Professor at Dr Lankapalli Bullaya College of Engineering (also located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh), while at the same time pursuing a PhD at GITAM, “engaged in research focused on augmented and virtual reality” (yes, it is now apparently possible in India to become an Assistant Professor without a PhD).

Another interesting paper the two of them co-authored is about event cameras for detection of Parkinson’s Disease, but unfortunately the full text is not available.

Less than three weeks ago, Aruna Thethali and Mandava Kranthi Kiran published a paper called “Neuromorphic Computing for Occlusion-Aware Object Detection in AR/VR: A Review of SNN-Based Real-Time Techniques, which, however, does not contain any references to BrainChip or Akida.
