Lithium batteries are causing a lot of trouble for us at work lately ( I’m a firefighter) once they crack it causes a thermal runaway.
Maybe if they didn't get stingy with the amount of Cobalt in the battery, things like this wouldn't be as bad.
Cobalt is very expensive. Some companies are putting price before safety IMO.

This is a great find @DaBenjamins and I think you have exposed that a licence has been sold to Lassen Peak - https://www.lassenpeak.com/

I think it is for a handheld weapon detector. Lassen Peak seems to be a very well connected Defence Industry company and it may well be that the failure to release details was prevented by US Law regarding homeland security.

In any event Lassen Peak is the company in my opinion based on the fine print in the following. So now over to the 1000 Eyes.

Off topic, but I left with the UK in 2008 with my family, due to knife crime and it not being safe for kids to go out anymore. Hope they can find something for acid attacks as well as that’s common now in the UK.
