Trump has spoken.
Very positive for AI.
Maybe a reason Tapson had a meeting with senator/s connected to appropriations and briefed house staff.
" Today, America is in a race for global technology dominance in the development of artificial intelligence (AI), an important frontier of scientific discovery and economic growth."
Perhaps connected with Seans 'watch us now' statement?
Sounds good Manny but let's hope we don't get any good staff pouched. The US Gov seems to be a bottomless pit when it comes to the DOD.

Edit......Oops that was the DOE.

We'll buy the DoD in a couple of months.

... and the DoE.
I do not think anyone seriously believes that the US will ditch Neuromorphic Edge AI and hand the Military advantage to the Russians and Chinese.
No chance whatsoever.
Brainchip’s chips are already being explored for defense platforms e.g., Bascom Hunter’s work with the Navy SBIR program, Parsons and RTX/USAFRL which aligns with the Genesis Mission’s national security focus.

" Today, America is in a race for global technology dominance in the development of artificial intelligence (AI), an important frontier of scientific discovery and economic growth."
Right Sizing AI for Embedded Applications - BrainChip
"Several customers have already advanced to prototype stages, validating the design’s maturity and readiness for deployment. As an example, Onsor Technologies’ Nexa smart glasses utilize the AKD1500 for low power inference to predict epileptic seizures, providing quality-of-life benefits for those suffering from epilepsy."
My bold above.
Several prototypes ready. Closing in on commercial readiness. We know how advanced Bascom already is.
Ratheon (RTX) and the US AFRL is also very interesting.
Lockheed-Martin/QV cybersecurity not far behind.

Hi Manny,

With DoE running Genesis, what are the chances of Akida/QV always-on cybersecurity everywhere all the time?

Hi Dio, I think that will get a big tick of approval. Now that we have confirmed publicly known interest from Bascom, Parsons, RTX and Lockheed-Martin the door is wide open. Every one will want a piece of the action.

Comparison table. US, China and Rusia. The US is locked into Neuromorphic Edge AI..
Asked chat for a brief comparison and links some of which are shown after the table.

Neuromorphic AI & Military Edge Computing – Global Comparison

CountryFocus AreasKey Programs / ExamplesStrategic Implications
United States- Neuromorphic processors for low‑power edge AI.
- Integration into UAVs, aircraft, and radar systems.
- AI‑augmented experimentation & manufacturing (Genesis Mission).
- AFRL contract with BrainChipfor neuromorphic radar at the edge【source】.
- DARPA Electronics Resurgence Initiativeexploring brain‑inspired computing.
- Navy SBIR/STTR programs(Bascom Hunter with AKIDA chips).
Strong push to ensure energy‑efficient AI at the edge, reducing reliance on cloud. U.S. aims to stay ahead in defense AI hardware.
China- Heavy investment in brain‑inspired AI.
- Development of neuromorphic chips(e.g., Tianjic).
- Military AI integration into intelligence and autonomous systems.
- PLA research on generative AI for military intelligence【source】.
- DeepSeek AIdeployed for non‑combat military duties【source】.
- National labs working on neuromorphic computing prototypes.
Seeks AI dominanceby combining neuromorphic hardware with large‑scale AI models. Risk of gaining edge in autonomous weapons and intelligence platforms.
Russia- Interest in autonomous military AI.
- Focus on AI for drones, electronic warfare, and cryptography.
- Less industrial capacity but leveraging AI strategically.
- Russian defense AI in wartime analysis (RUSI)【source】.
- Reports on AI militarization in drones and cryptography industries【source】.
- Strategic doctrine emphasizes AI for asymmetric advantage.
Could adopt neuromorphic approaches if proven effective, aiming to offset U.S. and NATO superiority with low‑cost autonomous systems.
