Renesas
I wouldn't say they are "jumping ship"..I know I don't post here much but read every day.
Could it not be possible the ones jumping ship are unable or unwilling to get defence clearance for a contract that may be in the breeze.
Just a thought out of left field
I put this to Microsoft Copilot and this is the responseView attachment 77315

As the Founder of Aynak Inc, my goal is to enable everyone to hear everywhere. Our goal is to remove the stigma linked to hearing aids by enhancing eyeglasses with built-in environmentally aware and focused hearing capabilities. With a commitment to innovation and a hands-on approach, my team and I are at the forefront of developing cutting-edge auditory technology to give you the best possible hearing experience. This problem space is very dear to me, and I am dedicated and fully committed to building the best hearing solution.
Most recently, I was VP of Engineering at Qualcomm in San Diego, where I was running the Augmented and Virtual Reality engineering team that I had started over 10 years ago, and helped it grow from a "startup" within Qualcomm to a several hundred million dollar business. My team enabled Qualcomm to go from a chipset supplier to a solution provider in AR/VR space with the introduction of Snapdragon Spaces. In my career at Qualcomm, I have led technology teams in the areas of Computer Vision, Sensor frameworks, Digital Signal Processing, and Downloadable application frameworks such as Brew and DSP Access Program. I have several patents in AR/VR and other technology areas.
Qualcomm's AI has evolved out of last millenium's DSPs, and, from its writeup, it looks quite clunky.
Sorry Dingo, maybe jumping ship was the wrong phrase. Moving on maybe.I wouldn't say they are "jumping ship"..
Every organisation, has those that are happy to stay and those that are seeking new things and are only transitorily employed.
Rudy, was one of those, although he can't really "move up" now, from working at Nvidia..
There's a bit of a shuffle of seats and some chicken littles are screaming "the Sky is falling"..
Everything has been moving slower than expected, but it's still been moving in the right direction.
Neuromorphic Computing, is no longer a fringe concept and BrainChip is well placed, to take advantage of what's unfolding.
The Announcement Friday morning, should keep people happy, for about 5 minutes..
Afrl is not an IP signing.
Front grade is an IP signing, yes but it is not going to make us any substantial money. It's sending chips to space not going into devices that will sell millions of units but you have me on a technicality and I stand corrected.
Megachips and renasas were 3 years ago.... And we are yet to see any royalties (or products that we are aware of yet).
Blind Freddie knows we need more. And soon. Hopefully Accenture and TCS can come to the party to stop the bleeding.
So let me rephrase my comment

Thanks Dio,As it turned out PvdM handed over the reins of CTO to Tony Lewis after a planned transition advisory period

BrainChip Announces Transition to a New CTO • BrainChip announces the planned retirement of co-founder and CTO Peter Van der Made • Peter Van der Made will continue to sit on the Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory board. • Announces new CTO, Dr. Tony Lewis, former VP and Global Head of the AI and Emerging Compute Lab at HP, Inc.
Sydney – 21 November 2023: BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN, OTCQX: BRCHF, ADR: BCHPY), the world’s first commercial producer of ultra-low power, fully digital, neuromorphic AI IP, today announced the planned retirement of co-founder and CTO Peter Van der Made which is scheduled for the end of the year. Peter has been the face of BrainChip since its inception. His intelligence and energy have been foundational in the creation and growth of the company.
... but that was an ASX announcement, so I suppose no one saw it.
For most directors, executive directors excepted, the role of director is different from the executive officers. Directors are not involved in the hands-on day-to-day runnig of the company, so gratuitous denigration of the company's founder is uncalled for.
And this leads into another thing which should be born in mind - advocating for a second strike would be advocating the sacking of PvdM.

Frontgrade’s rad hardened chips sell for anywhere between 10k and 500k per chip depending on the chips hi-ended specialness. They don’t need to sell in great volume for us to make a tidy sum at 10% per chip. This is all in an expanding space (and space force) industry that is expected to be a trillion dollars by next decade.Afrl is not an IP signing.

Thank’s, uiux.
Will you please reassure me, though, that the name of that California-based company merely happens to be an inaccurate transcription that wasn’t picked up due to your tool missing a human-in-the-loop?
And not because loopy Trump, now that he has ordered the Gulf of Mexico to be renamed the Gulf of America, has also declared that Meeami Technologies shall from now on be known as Miami Technologies?
Hey, Esq., I hope those beautiful parrots are safe down there in Southern Panama?
