Is BrainChip obligated to make an announcement in this case, or is it the partner’s responsibility? Sometimes it’s difficult for me to understand when BrainChip or a partner/customer is required to issue one.

Quantum Ventura is a private company so wouldn't have any reporting responsibilities to an exchange. Brainchip's requirement to announce is an entirely separate issue to that of the Parner/customer.

The NECR project with Intellisense completed around May last year and upon completion of the Ph II a working prototype will be delivered for testing and evaluation by NASA.

Suspect this should already be in progress.

Intellisense Systems, Inc. proposes in Phase II to advance development of a Neuromorphic Enhanced Cognitive Radio (NECR) device to enable autonomous space operations on platforms constrained by size, weight, and power (SWaP). NECR is a low-size, -weight, and -power (-SWaP) cognitive radio built on the open-source framework, i.e., GNU Radio and RFNoC™, with new enhancements in environment learning and improvements in transmission quality and data processing. Due to the high efficiency of spiking neural networks and their low-latency, energy-efficient implementation on neuromorphic computing hardware, NECR can be integrated into SWaP-constrained platforms in spacecraft and robotics, to provide reliable communication in unknown and uncharacterized space environments such as the Moon and Mars. In Phase II, Intellisense will improve the NECR system for cognitive communication capabilities accelerated by neuromorphic hardware. We will refine the overall NECR system architecture to achieve cognitive communication capabilities accelerated by neuromorphic hardware, on which a special focus will be the mapping, optimization, and implementation of smart sensing algorithms on the neuromorphic hardware. The Phase II smart sensing algorithm library will include Kalman filter, Carrier Frequency Offset estimation, symbol rate estimation, energy detection- and matched filter-based spectrum sensing, signal-to-noise ratio estimation, and automatic modulation identification. These algorithms will be implemented on COTS neuromorphic computing hardware such as Akida processor from BrainChip, and then integrated with radio frequency modules and radiation-hardened packaging into a Phase II prototype. At the end of Phase II, the prototype will be delivered to NASA for testing and evaluation, along with a plan describing a path to meeting fault and tolerance requirements for mission deployment and API documents for integration with CubeSat, SmallSat, and rover for flight demonstration.

NECR technology will have many NASA applications due to its low-SWaP and low-cost cognitive sensing capability. It can be used to enhance the robustness and reliability of space communication and networking, especially cognitive radio devices. NECR can be directly transitioned to the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate (HEOMD) Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program, CubeSat, SmallSat, and rover to address the needs of the Cognitive Communications project.

NECR technology’s low-SWaP and low-cost cognitive sensing capability will have many non-NASA applications. The NECR technology can be integrated into commercial communication systems to enhance cognitive sensing and communication capability. Automakers can integrate the NECR technology into automobiles for cognitive sensing and communication.

When it comes to asx announcements, the team have a position internally and arguing otherwise would be like trying to get blood from a stone.

They won't be able to not announce the Nvidia takeover offer so we continue to wait.

The only ASX announcements which will matter, are those that also attract press coverage, anyway..
Companies are putting out ASX announcements all the time, which we never hear about, because we haven't got them in our watchlist, with alerts on them.

Some of the biggest drivers of the share price, have not been ASX announced.
Mercedes using AKIDA in the EQQX, stands out the most.

The press releases and media coverage, that some say aren't adequate, are what is going to spread the news, not the ASX.
So I don't understand people's frustrations here.

To move significantly further, we need announcements, by any medium, that show either undeniable Future success (like a partnership with Nvidia) or a large IP deal (which would both be ASX announced) with a Household Name brand, that intends integrating AKIDA into high volume products.

Sean has indicated, many developments are forthcoming, so that and the base we have formed, is enough to stabilise the share price for now, but we can't expect, to keep sizing up our boots, without "filling out" in the areas that count and growing taller first..

We know VVDN are selling the box with Edge Impulse as an option. VVDN also sell NVIDIA Edge boxes.
I am not sure how hard our boxes are being marketed for say, Industrial use with Edge Impulse by us, Edge Impulse or VVDN - that is the key to revenue for this product.
Sept'23 was when we first engaged VVDN. Hopefully the new Edge Box eco system will see sales pick up.
No doubt there is a marketing plan in place. - also for Pico,M.2 etc.

We have seen some action lately with AKIDA1000. The AKIDA1500 chip was launched on 28th August 2023. From memory the 1500 was produced as a result of client request. Circa 1 Year and 5 months pass passed - heading towards what appears to be testing and trialing periods - up to 2 years?
The 1500 evidently has a number of improvements over the 1000 some of which are higher computational power, memory optimisation and from memory advanced image recognition.0
Hopefully we see some action with the 1500 sooner than later. I assume it was produced for a client/s??

As Jeff Bier said in the latest Podcast "All these improvements are a double edged sword" (My recollection)
Just when you think you've got the latest and greatest......Oh by the way this is our new and improved one.
Clients have even asked "but, can you do this?"
I'm sure all these improvements delay the signing of contracts.

On reflection, I think the photo in that post more accurately reflects BrainChip, after the Mercedes announcement..

BrainChip, has come a long way since then, in development and maturity, I think this one, is closer to the mark..

I think we can achieve the price targets and valuations, that reasonable people want to see, but it's going to come from strong International demand, for BRN stock and that can only come through "solid" developments.

Disclosure: I bought more since last week and now my skin is heavily glued with BRN:

Reasons I bought more:
1: I do have some spare cash that i can afford, And if the next three speculations turn out to be true, I am far better off from the term deposit interest
2: Last minute of podcast 7, Sean's words to my interpretation is suggesting there are more good news coming out. and for a podcast that is supposed to be recorded and come out in NOV(credits to @mrgds post 90998), you won't hold it until the last day of the year for no reason
3: LDA ANN surprised me a bit but soon self interpretated as a potential positive indication of future ANN/ANNS given the context of:

• it would be foolish to openly announce there will be a CR 6 month before the due date if he is not expecting anything at all
• 40 million share issued to LDA suggests to me the management expects the final price is above 50cents/pc, this price will most likely not be possible if there is nothing before the capital call

4: RTX, recent podcasts and social media disclosures all point to a positive direction, to me at least.

Reasons I have my doubts and being cautious:

1: Sean's verbal confidence shows limited creditability up to this date to me given the facts that:

• none of his promises has been delivered so far such as watch the financials, 2023 is a critical year, then 2024, 2025, list goes on
• he never bought back shares to echo his confidence, I do understand the implications of inside trading, but a clear statement of not selling his shares under the issuing price will not only reinforce the SH's confidence but also scare off the shorters and traders.
• his continuous tolerance of the staff mistakes: typos, dates, years and most importantly the 4CS, hate to bring this up, but go and check the last 2 qtrs reports and find out yourself how incompetent the person is at crosschecking and cut/past (happy to point out what it is if any one of you PM me)

2: Correlated with the 50cents expectation, he does have a bad record of reading the market, the last LDA agreement was suspended, to me, ugly that BRN had to pay LDA to exit. In short, they gtt our shares for 16ish cents/ pc so LDA can dump and make the money they expected

3: 5 years plan approved by the board, NDAs and KMP's incentives all line up in the backroom with us knowing nothing, TBH, I give this kind of blind trust only to my parents and kids.

It was aso built in Global Foundries 22mm FDSoI (fully depleted silicon on insulator) with a little help from MegaChips. FDSoI improves power efficiency by reducing leakage currents.

1500 helps demonstrate that Akida can work independently of the ARM Cortex processor (as well as avoiding the licence fee). The 1500 IP can be incorporated in a SoC with any compatible processor (CPU/GPU), or it can be made as a stand-alone chip (or chiplet) cooperating with an external processor.

If there are significant changes, it will be a "new generation" like AKIDA 2.0 IP, but subtle changes, or tweaks, to each "Family" would be part and parcel of technological development..

The IP changes to AKIDA 1.0 IP "were" taped out, with the subsequent runs of AKD1000 chips (which there "appear" to be 4 different types) and the AKD1500 In FD-SOI (which makes 5 that we know of, if the previous is correct).

I really don't know, what would constitute the need for a tape-out, to confirm a small tweak, which surely could be run in simulation these days.

With AKIDA 2.0 for example, I'm pretty sure Dr Anthony Lewis, said a tape-out wasn't specifically required, because the core technology, the "novel" aspect of AKIDA, had already been well proven.
