Back at CES2023 Socionext and Brainchip presented together:
BrainChip joins Socionext in the Vehicle Tech and Advanced Mobility Zone, located in the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall in Booth 10654. Socionext will be showcasing its leading-edge technologies and solutions in automotive imaging, AI, and smart sensing to help customers develop feature rich custom SoCs that enable product differentiation with an added competitive edge. Socionext has played an important role in the implementation of BrainChip’s AI technology in SoCs and the companies are working together to satisfy the need for AI in edge computing. As part of this showcase, BrainChip will be highlighting its functionality with NVISO’s human-behavior software designed for the automotive in-cabin environment.

Did we ever work out if we are involved in the Socionext SC12 60GHz? In this video,I found the following comments interesting:
- Then there is hardware for measuring the distance the angle calculation and the clustering. 3D detection sounds can be defined and an interrupt notification is generated only when the movement is in this detection Zone. All the signal processing is built into the hardware without the need of any CPU or any type of firmware
- Uses 0.7mW of power

Interesting that my back of envelope maths (don’t shoot me) shows the Top20 accumulating ~70mill shares in the last quarter, with UBS and affiliate Warbont entering with ~11mill shares as well, against reducing ~20mill not including LDA. You’d have to see that as positivity from the big end of town I would have thought.
The combination of things like that and the endless arrival of Akida in a multitude of media has to show us headed in a strong direction. Stepping back for a wider viewpoint can be handy sometimes rather than getting caught up with the close up.

However, in a Secret Santa, some more interesting news / developments :)

According to a paper just released a couple of days ago (not peer reviewed as yet) it appears some Snr Researchers over at Ericsson have been playing with Akida and "for instance, to demonstrate the feasibility of AI-enabled ZE-IoT, we have developed a prototype of a solar-powered AI-enabled ZE-IoT camera device with neuromorphic computing."

My question would be is this something off their own back or do we have a hand in the background somewhere as well

Further to the previous paper by Ericsson I posted at Xmas saying they had used Akida, good to see they're still bullish on neuromorphic by the looks.

HI all.

Glad the top 20 was released. Better late than never I suppose. Here is the breakdown:

1. PVDM (founder) - same
2. Citi - Down 9 million shares.
3. BNP - Up 7 million shares. This fund has always been on the increase pretty much since the last 2 years.
4. HSBC Australia - Massive 29 million share increase (our 'sophisticated' investors for the SPP?)
5. JP Morgan - up by 26 million.

------ Break here --------

This has been the largest change in share values in the top 5 by at least 3X since I have been recording for the last two years. All apart from Citi in the positive excluding our beloved founder of course who just holds.
SPP reasons probably I suppose.

6. Merril - up about 600k (again). Little change here for a while.
7. BNP (2) - down 2.6 million.
8. BNP (3) titled 'Retail client' - up 1.8 million shares.
9. HSBC (2) - up 100K.
10 Certaine (1) - up 3.6 million shares (big move too)
11. Certane (2) - up 700k.
12. Finclear - up 1.3 million.
13. Crossfield - Down 100k
14. UBS nominees - NEW (unknown). holding 6.4 million shares. Must have accumulated at least 2 million.
15. Osserian fam - sold more again. 500k down.
16. Paul (retail) - same.
17. Jeff (retail) - same
18. David (retail) - same
19. National Nominees - down 8 million shares.
20. Warbont - (New) although sure I saw them in a previous report. Must have accumulated at least 400k to be here.

Floor share value of top 20 had risen by about 400k (positive generally).

I've read before others dismissing these details as just funds that allows retail to buy. This is partly true, but the nuance is as they themselves will buy themselves and for retail purposes, they promote and endorse the companies they back.

GLTAH,
Cheers

Nahhh.. I forgot some German prefectures are not that much religious. So it’s not a nationwide holiday. Means they are trading today.. that means.. no late night PSA … sorry guys!

Ericsson is also a member of the AI-RAN Alliance, which brings together technology industry leaders and academic institutions to drive the improvement of RAN performance and capabilities through AI. It also aims to optimise RAN asset utilisation and create new revenue streams. By pioneering AI-based innovations in RAN, they aim to profitably drive the telecom industry towards 6G.

That's why I also invested in Ericsson... and because of the global 5G/6G network rollout. A lot of IoT devices have to communicate, right?

Again Hoppy you have conveyed in words what I have, and it appears from the@@@ responses that others have felt also. I concur with your comment on Frangipani’s research; similarly to yourself, I have limited time. @Bravo is a contributor of long-standing. Her posts are informative, respectful and often her humour, her mischievous humour, is delightfully wicked. She has shared much of her personal life with us. I have not met her, yet I feel she is a friend. I too, will miss her, and cherish her return.
I have met @Bravo, she is an energetic and wonderful person as you say Mia.

Gday Chippers, ............. wanted to share this, imo, "powerful video"
Its very condensed {5:35s} so even @Pom down under can watch it 😅 and shows the unbelievable progress of Tesla"s FSD (Full Self Driving)
Starts with, probably a Tesla Model S, (2018-2020?) and shows how many times there was the need for a human intervention,
Then @3:40s jumps to the Tesla Cybertruck/Model Y, and shows the vehicle doing everything autonomously. (present day )
IMO, ......... just fu#ki*g brillant............. And notice the evolution of the graphics on the UI screen.

So, with a Phil Collins classic song, as @Esq.111 would say, ................. "CRANK IT, AND ENJOY"

For those expecting sales by the end of 2024, I hope you understand the difficulties associated with releasing AI related products. Anything Shaun anticipated earlier this year could have been delayed.
Amazon is delaying their latest Alexa due to issues including hallucination.

This is a possibility given some of the SBIR work with NASA trying to get Alexa on their spacecraft

At the time, it was believed Amazon would have something to ship in 2024. And Amazon did announce new generative AI skills for Alexa in January. That timeline slipped to October 2024 and since then into a vague future point in 2025.

Callisto

Callisto is a technology demonstration developed through a reimbursable space act agreement with Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin has partnered with Amazon and Cisco to bring the Alexa digital assistant and Webex video collaboration aboard Orion’s first flight test in deep space.

Fascinatingly Intuitive.
Afternoon Chippers,

I believe NVIDIA ( now with a market cap over $3 trillion ) was added to the DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL index , with the removal of INTEL on Friday.

Oh, and apparently Warren Buffet, of BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY, is pressently sitting on a cash pile of some $300 billion.

Know what I'd be buying a little bit of .

😃.

The wheels of industry grind on....

Hi IDD,

I wake every morning (so far) with the daily expectation of a sales announcement.

I read somewhere that hallucinations are the result of "overfitting", which I think is like second guessing or dithering. I think it's to do with a mismatch in the NN configuration, (and possibly backpropagation?).

Since Akida does not use backpropagation, it may be more resistant to hallucinations (if my suppositions are correct).

For a second, I wondered about hallucinations for speech, and thought probably not because it is a much smaller model, but then there are homonyms.
