The manipulation of the market is a fact of life and the legal & licensed use of robotic trading platforms either independent or fee paying to the ASX accounts for these types of trades however not all such trades will be of this type.

For example if you put on a buy for say 1500 Brainchip shares at 95 cents and there is only 1,001 Brainchip shares immediately available to purchase at 95 cents then the balance of your order being 499 shares at 95 cents will remain live in the market until it expires or someone decides to sell you the further 499 shares at 95 cents.

Even purchase orders you might see for 1 share could be the remains of an order that has only been partially filled.

It is when we see order after order going through for small numbers of shares in the 1 to 10 share range that we can have complete confidence it is a manipulation. The easiest ones to pick up are those that are dropped into the market at 4pm to drop the price by half a cent.

This end of market manipulation is so clearly wrong even under the present administration of what constitutes a free and open market cannot be justified as it does not provide liquidity and can only be seen as some sort of attempt to affect retail shareholder psychology.

My opinion only DYOR

Yes it's laughable that the sale of 1 share at a time can provide liquidity in a company with a float of 1.6m shares and when retail shareholders can't buy parcels under $500. The argument is just nonsense used to justify market manipulation. They may as well call it the HFT's 'special trading operation' on the ASX, such nonsense it is - no doubt used to buy the shares of Nazis and drug addicts . . .

So do we get an announcement when production starts that Mercedes have licensed Brainchips IP or do we think it’s through a third party such as Renesas/MegaChip?
I really hope it’s a direct licensing agreement between the 2 as that means if it’s not, the name Mercedes’ is factored into the share price of less than $1 and will need to wait for revenue whereas with the world knowing Mercedes is using Akida if we got an offical licensing agreement we would no doubt shoot past $2 no issue at all!

I’ll take either but I think I know what we would all prefer!
My read is that there is a direct relationship.

Why else would Merc come out and “name the baby”. Brainchip have come out and said that Mercedes is a customer. And now in this latest press release language by Mercedes’ around taking more control of its technology and innovation, see the accelerated development of the Mercedes-Benz operating system as a prime example.

There are too many direct links now to have Mercedes’ slink back into the shadows of a Renesas or similar.

I am happy now for this to disseminate into the market by whatever means and at whatever speed it takes. I don’t need any further confirmation of application or timelines to implementation. This will bring huge long term share holder value.

Totally at one with your sentiment. Blind Freddie is even applauding.

I personally lean towards an IP licence agreement and AKIDA technology forming the basis of Mercedes taking control and building it’s own system.

I do think that while this is taking place Mercedes could also buy actual chips to implement things like ‘Hey Mercedes’ until HAL is ready to take full control.

chapman69, I would doubt that the Renesas /Megachips agreements allow them to sub-licence the IP. If Mercedes are building the chip themselves as part of their production process then they would need an IP licence and that is likely to be a direct agreement with BRN. If they are buying physical chips to incorporate into their cars then that could be with Renesas or BRN. My opinion only.

Wow!
So I'm thinking that if Brainchip made 7000? AKIDA chips on their first run, and chips have been aportioned to this kit, the shuttle, PCIE card, EAP customers, etc, then I would assume that:
- potentially a high number of these have been sold, ie >1000?, or
- significant numbers have gone into testing at potential customers, or
- significant numbers of chips have been sold and already gone into product?

I hope with Boeing and Aerospace involved with the new first ADF strike fighter plane in 50 years that Brainchip is involved in its development. The Ghost Bat 🦇 is a wild name with an even wilder paint job . Go to Boeing and then Ghost Bat on LinkedIn and there will be an explanation on this massive new project including the pilot free drone .Dropping the RAAF name moving forward
Never mind Linkedin... Go to Ghost Bat on urban dictionary. You'll get a much more entertaining result.

$5000 a pop. So 100 would be $500,000 - I have to take my shoes and socks off to calculate bigger numbers. ($US)

https://www.hackster.io/news/brainchip-launches-raspberry-pi-intel-based-development-kits-for-its-akida-neuromorphic-processor-2f05dc95438b#:~:text=Those interested in trying the Akida out, however,,not yet confirmed when ordered hardware will ship.

Should bolster the quarterly figures.

I wonder what an economic job lot for a jobbing PCB assembly line is?

Question for the 1000 eyes........

If the Raspberry Pi is sold out, then Laguna Hills must be running low on chips. What are everyone's opinions on where these chips have gone?

Be good for the company to give us an update on the number of raspberry pi units sold.

Hi all,
Here’s a promotional magazine from the RAAF. This is an excellent synopsis of where our Air Force is headed.
Project Jericho is mentioned often. Obviously the nuts and bolts of their technology will be classified but reading between the lines you can see where Akida can be utilised.

I’ve cut and pasted some of the “Headlines” from the Magazine for your interest. But suggest you hit the link and have a read for yourself. I’m pretty sure Uiux has most of the them covered in detail but there’s plenty too look at!

That would be nice but I have always thought that these products had two purposes:

1. Exposing the technology and raising academic and industry knowledge and interest; and

2. Providing a way to hide the precise quantum of licence fees being paid.

If I am correct then beyond a 'we are pleased with the uptake' and 'we expect to have further units available by such & such a date but we are taking advanced orders' I doubt that we will be given precise numbers or a breakdown on receipts.

My opinion and speculation only DYOR

The RAAF had a pilotless plane (drone) back in the '60s - Jindivik - used it to tow live fire Ack-Ack targets.

Made by the Government Aircraft factory.

If only we could dig up all those old engineers ...

Posted on Mercedes thread. Middle of last year and might be old news but noting recent discussion about the operating system the article also says its own chips.

"The latest to announce its own system is Mercedes-Benz, which on Friday said it is developing the new MB.OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System) for launch in 2024. The Volkswagen Group via its in-house software development company Cariad is also working on its own OS, as well as its own computer chips."

ON A SERIOUS NOTE:

It is often mentioned here (mostly by me) that Ken Scarince stated in his German Investor presentation that Brainchip would disrupt industries that do not yet exist.

Just now I found the following link which takes you to page after page of potential uses of an efficient e-nose broken up into industry segments.

Some of the use cases also come with links and having opened a few you will likely find on opening a research paper and an abstract giving greater clarity however the short description at the beginning of each use case gives the flavour.

Not that I am in any way shape or form dismissing every other industry that Brainchip is playing in but going through this list made it absolutely clear that given AKIDA produces state of the art processing of VOC's on device without connection it could just concentrate on e-nose and as Homer Simpson would say we would all be millionaires.

Enjoy:
