“Attack Problems, not People”.

I’ll be cleaning up this thread today to erase the long term embarrassment that was a lot of posts yesterday, up until now…

Please take this as a warning.

Continue debating and attacking problems by all means - but attacking each others characters is not an acceptable practice, nor does it positively reflect or embolden your point to make.

If anything it detracts from both your point and potentially your own character.

It’s a simple mantra to live by.

I challenge everyone to consider this, even when you’ve been personally attacked - does meeting them at their level, aid you in all of your points made to date, and in the future, if you will let your opponent make yourself look defeated? Rise above this embarrassing display and let them damage their own character, lest you meet them at their level and damage your own equally.
Well said,

If anyone has any fear around money or company investments and anger is generated out of that fear then they need to realise this is a personal issue and should not take it out on other people. Understand that they may just well be purely very risk adverse. I have seen it for many years on stock forums and it is quite embarrassing to watch to be honest....People getting angry at other people simply due to them not having invested in line with their risk profile.

If they don't like much risk or seeing your value of your money move up and down often then you should not be investing in the stock market generally. Try government bonds, fixed interest or a bar of gold or silver. DYOR on your risk appetite and investments to match so you can sleep at night and not be on forums bashing other people. Peace.

You are not wrong there.
Those assets would have made more money than some of the stocks over the last year or so.

This type of post is part of the problem though.

You are telling people how they should feel and how to invest. They are not your children.
I think you may have missed the point....I am not telling them how they should feel....fearful people already feel a certain way...fearful .....which tends to flow on to anger.

I am saying look inside themselves - identify if it is fear that is driving their comments around their investments and make the realisation....

Then adjust your personal investments in line with you personal fear and risk profile so your are not fearful. I didn't say they shouldn't be fearful... I am saying if they are then there is a path to do something about it...invest in line with your own personal risk profile so you can sleep at night.

I didn't miss the point and I understand you weren't trying to be rude. I was merely pointing out that language plays a big part in how people react. Nobody likes being told what to do or how to feel. Or being gaslighted. Or being mocked or belittled (you didn't do this but others are guilty of it).

These are two questions which I think are important:

1. If I was Sony for example and in 2019 and the Brainchip head of sales, a company from Australia I had never heard of turned up, and said I have this IP called AKIDA and it can do everything that a $30,000 Nvidia GPU can do running on a couple of AA batteries for $50.00 would I have just called security and had the nutter escorted from the building?

2. Has the independent verification by Edge Impulse that AKIDA1000 running at 300 megahertz can match the performance of a GPU running at 900 megahertz, the independent verification by Nviso that AKIDA1000 can run its algorithms at 1000fps compared to a Nvidia Jetson at 100fps, the statement by Mercedes Benz that AKIDA is five to ten times more efficient than competitor solutions and this research by Quantum Ventura set out in the above posts improved the chances that at 1. above I would now at least offer Brainchip's head of sales a cup of coffee and give him 10 minutes of my time?

Selling Science Fiction that will wipe away all the current technology has to be difficult and in my mind when you look at what success has been achieved despite the barriers that would have existed to being believed the fact that Renesas has actually taped out a chip and is bringing it to market later this year is really quite astonishing until you realise that at the time Brainchip approached Renesas it had its own neuromorphic program and was well progressed and so was in an intellectual space which allowed them to conceive of the possibility that AKIDA could possibly be real.

As @Realinfo stated "Eventually everyone will use Akida in some way or another...they will be compelled to do so or die."

To a certain extent given what now is being revealed by others like Quantum Ventura Inc it would have been completely illogical for Intel to have not told reception to let Brainchip come in.

I had a $16 sitting in my CMC account and since CMC don't charge brokerage for trades under $1000 I thought I would try and buy a few BRN shares with the $16.00.

I can proudly say that I've increased my BRN holding by 30 shares today. One day they will be worth US$6000.

The link with Know Labs (via Edge Impulse) isn’t new but I hadn’t read this update on how they are travelling with the medical device suspected of including Akida. It’s interesting to me so I thought others may be interested in our companies possible product progression.

I’m excited!

Know Labs inks partnerships to accelerate progress toward FDA clearance for glucose monitor

Know Labs KnowU Uband non-invasive glucose monitor
[Image from Know Labs]Know Labs (NYSE:KNW) announced that it entered into a series of strategic partnerships as it looks to move toward a major regulatory nod.

Seattle-based Know Labs develops the Bio-RFID technology. It uses spectroscopy to direct electromagnetic energy through a substance or material to capture a unique molecular signature. This technology integrates into wearable, mobile or bench-top form factors. Know Labs developed the first application of Bio-RFID as a non-invasive glucose monitor.
The company said in a news release that its new partnerships collectively accelerate progress toward FDA clearance for the monitor. These partnerships include leading experts in data science, sensor technology, product design and regulatory affairs.
New CEO Ron Erickson — appointed last week — cited a need for both time and “thoughtful attention to detail” as part of the decision to bring on these industry experts.
“We are fortunate to have world-class respected experts working alongside our own talented Know Labs team, to help accelerate our progress on data science, product design and the regulatory process, as we develop medical devices that we believe will transform patient care,” Erickson said.

About the new partnerships for Know Labs

Know Labs chose Dr. Reza Kassayan to assist in refining its Bio-RFID sensor. A 30-year veteran of the industry, Kassayan previously served as lead designer and system architect for a number of large-scale products. He specializes in ultra-miniaturized, embedded electronics for medical devices.
“It’s inspiring to see the potential impact for this novel application of radio frequency spectroscopy,” Kassayan said. “Having engineered other life-changing non-invasive medical devices, I’m thrilled to be supporting this development.”
The company also partnered with Igor Institute, a product development firm specializing in mechanical, electrical and firmware engineering. Igor Institute and Know Labs’ relationship dates back to 2018.
Bould Design, an industrial firm behind products like Nest, Roku and Willow, provides design support.
Edge Impulse, a development toolkit for machine learning, works with the company to refine its Bio-RFID algorithm. The two companies began working together six months ago to accelerate algorithm development.
Know Labs also partnered with medical device consulting firm Novus Management Group. Novus provides regulatory systems and strategy guidance to prepare the company for the FDA clearance process.
Finally — as previously announced — the company enlisted Racer Technology to manufacture its KnowU and UBand devices. The medical device contract manufacturer previously supported FDA-approved devices from companies such as Medtronic, Boston Scientific and Bio-Rad.

Way to go @zeeb0t!! We all first came here from Hot Crapper to have adult like discussions around an amazing technology we have invested and believe in. Lately it seems we have been infiltrated by some HC downrampers. If you don’t believe in the BRN technology then go back to the swamp at HC.

At the risk of being verbally bludgeoned for my lack of tech knowledge, I thought this paper posted by Edge Impulse regarding Risc-V based Embedded Systems leveraging a few of our favourite words may be of interest. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2302.07957.pdf
The following appears to discount use of AKIDA:

“The SNN used for our experiments is reported in Table II. The network is composed of two convolutional layers and two fully-connected layers. To train the network, we used a supervised learning approach based on back-propagation, derived from the one presented in [25], which has been implemented in PyTorch. In this framework, the Neuron dynamic of the leaky-integrate and fire (LIF) neurons implemented in SNE is accurately modeled to closely reflect the hardware implementation and minimize the mismatch between the accuracy achieved during training and the one achieved on the real hardware platform.”

AKIDA uses ‘feedforward’ not ‘back propagation’ and ‘integrate and fire’ not ‘leaky integrate and fire.’

These two methodologies are part of what distinguishes AKIDA and permits it to achieve one shot few shot learning.

Hey all, just a little speculating on recent declines in SP -

yes, an opportunity for this to happen has been created by the lack of solid news.

But I would speculate that rather than disillusined investors selling out, the decline has been caused by investors that were simply after exposure AI being drawn away by all the recent exposure and excitement on ChatGPT-style AI and related stocks. (This creates a SP weakness that of course is capitalised on by bots and shorters).

So I don't look at the decline in price as any indication that we're not on the right track. Just that we haven't gotten there yet, and markets are swayed by hype.

I knew that answer because I was prepared to take the risk you did and fortunately had the likes of @Diogenese, @sonofkong and others back at HC prepared to teach.

Remember the complaints here and there about Brainchip hiding behind NDA’s and not releasing information.

Another way to think about that is Brainchip does not leak NOR does AKIDA technology it is not ‘leaky integrate and fire’ like Loihi and the others.

Unleashing the full potential of IoE with Edge Computing Technology

New approaches

ONiO is playing with new approaches integrating edge computing and neuromorphic concepts - namely to implement neural networks in ultra-low-power integrated circuits. The end goal is to implement extremely power-efficient hardware accelerators which can perform algorithmic operations based on peripheral/sensor data without the intervention of the CPU. This will allow offloading heavy software tasks on hardware, thus saving power by waking up the CPU only when needed.

But what does this means exactly? In practical terms, this means that we can create wireless, batteryless smart edge nodes/devices capable of processing data and making simple decisions locally - without having to send data back and forth to the cloud, thus saving on data transmission (bandwidth) and computing loads in data centres. Obviously, we are bound by the constraints of ultra-low-power systems - so not really running full chess games there! So, what is it good for?

Leading the way

ONiO has initiated an R&D project focused on new power-aware neural network solutions. The project received support from the Regional Funds in Oslo (RFF Oslo) - which allows us to take a first stab into developing and testing prototype implementations. The project ties nicely with the ambitions of Oslo as a leading “smart, green, and safe” city. We expect that the future solutions can be capable of impacting on areas such as smart buildings and smart cities - raising the bar on the ambition and reach of such initiatives. For instance, enabling infrastructure-embedded sensors - such as sensors embedded in concrete which measure moisture in walls or vibration in structures for condition monitoring and preventive maintenance. These are typical “deploy-and-forget” applications, where it is impossible to change battery or replace the sensors, and which only need to report relevant events - such as humidity levels or vibration/strain changes above a defined threshold. Other use-cases within smart cities involve smart metering, as mentioned above.

In conclusion

Edge computing is a vast concept, and we are far from pretending to be able to crack all challenges and unshackle its immense potential. Yet, we are pushing the boundaries of what can be done with extremely small amounts of power, using ambient energy only, and offering decisive contributions towards wireless, true batteryless IoT nodes. These, in turn, will make it possible for the future vision of the all-connected Internet of Everything world!

Are you ready to take your smart city and/or building initiatives to the next level? ONiO has initiated an R&D project focused on creating power-aware neural network solutions, supported by the Regional Funds in Oslo (RFF Oslo). These solutions can enable infrastructure-embedded sensors (such as moisture sensors in walls or vibration sensors for condition monitoring and preventive maintenance) to report relevant events without having to continuously send data to the backend/cloud.
