There is this bit in the 4C that I do not understand:
"additional licensing fees and increased corporate costs resulting from increased shareholder activity"

What is this shareholder activity?

Hi Cyw,

I too was confused about what this increased share holder activity relates to and I was also wondering what the additional licensing fees were relating to

I feel rather vindicated "if you're expecting an major increase in revenue, well, I've got bad news for you"

Any long term holder I'd suggest was on a similar page to me...it's called being realistic, understanding what you have invested in, the long runway to a solid revenue stream, but never forgetting what we have, that is, a rock solid business strategy, a rock solid team of highly intelligent individuals, revolutionary technology that is second to none, etc etc etc.

This will now be a buying opportunity, take full advantage of it, because good things don't last forever.

Good morning from Perth....Tech x

Maybe we can do another dollar party again in 12 months.

Long runway, 2 years ahead of the competition……. Gonna take two years to get back to January figures.

Pre Mercedes’ here we come.

Not impressed.

I am liking the SP finish - we are green on a very crap market day!

The report was already priced in and SP is obviously still too low to be green on a very red market day.

I think it is also worthy to acknowledge from this 4C report , the final milestone payment to Socionext for the successful production of the Akida device .

( Original agreement announcement )
Sydney, Australia – 26 June 2019: BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN), the leading AI Edge company, today announced the signing of a definitive agreement with Socionext America Inc (SNA) for product development and manufacturing of its Akida Neuromorphic System-on-Chip (NSoC).
This agreement marks a major milestone for bringing the Akida NSoC to market.

( 4C report )
US$0.5M final milestone payment to Socionext for the production of the Akida device .

All in my opinion ……

I'd say the fact we finished in the green or practically close on Tuesday, says the market expected this 4C.
Not to mention the Tech sector in general is a bit funny atm. Guess it depends how we go from here, but the 4C has seemingly shaken off the remaining nay sayers with not really any bad news left.

That is what the CFO had to say:
The additional licensing fees were payments made to license IP needed by the engineering team as they work on developing future versions of the chip. The increased costs due to shareholder activity are related to our registry administration. The company incurs a cost for each new shareholder as well as fees related to share issuances, transfers and other transactions managed by the clearinghouse (CHESS) or the ASX.

I think these costs will become insignificant once the revenue increases to a more respectable level.
