In 1991, the US attacked Iraq. The next trading day the ASX200 rose 2.5%, and one week later was up 3.8%
In 2024, the US and Irsael attacked Iran. The next trading day the ASX200 dropped by 0.36%, and one week later it was up 1.2%

However, the market is a bit topsy at the moment, and could swing either way.

I just hope that this skirmish doesn't delay the board's announcement to shareholders on Monday. I'm really looking forward to untangling some word spaghetti.

Well I’ve tried to hold off but the DRC and US know the situation anyway.

What a fuckup, suspending our biggest asset (our fucken trump cards) the ICSID and ICC. Getting led on by the DRC for three years and now the US for the last year…. and now we have to wait even longer for the ICSID to find and nominate a new arbitrator, for the new arbitrator to get familiar with the case and then add on more months after that for the ICSID procedures to resume.

You don’t give up your major asset before your negotiated settlement, you give it up as part of your negotiated settlement.

Well fucken done, and I know the reasons why, so yes @Flight996 I’m looking forward to that announcement and “word spaghetti” and it’s probably all I need to find something better to spend my fucken time on.
