I don't see that as a high likelihood. They've honed in Roche Dure and IMO are just doing what they can to ensure the DRC Government see them as the preferred/only partner, and by extension also playing hard-ball business to ensure that A) we accept a low-ball offer, and that B) all other potential suitors are boxed out of the game.I’m getting on board with the not trusting Kobald as far as we could kick them train. Haven’t seen discussed on here yet, is there a chance that with their “technology” (ie resource AI scanning some shit) they’ll try and stitch us and determine pegmatite around the borders of our mining area and get license for there, and try and avoid paying us out? I.e instead of paying us $12bn they’ll dig deeper in a shitter area nearby that may ultimately prove more financially attractive given they don’t have to pay us?
Unsurprising really, but it does seem to be working to an extent, given the DRC partnership framework.
We could try push back if it comes to that and they're not willing to level a reasonable offer, but I think it's almost certain that this will end with Kobold now. Its just a question of fair value, which we obviously have a different perspective on. I don't think after the non-binding agreement we made that they will come out and try to absolutely rat-fuck us in terms of going around us to get the licence without a payout, given the reputational and possibly legal implications after basically admitting its ours, they'll just try and rat-fuck us on price. Which is understandable, if not acceptable.
Im content to wait for the offer that is eventually informed by AVZ management to shareholders. After all this time, I dont believe NF will be bowing down, and if they suggest accepting a price then I'd bet thats about as good as we can get. It'll be a hell of a lot less than I think some expect, but I do believe that at least we will get some kind of a compensatory return, rather than waiting years-on-years for the legal/arbitration actions to reach a payout. Which may never end up being delivered anyway.
I think we just need to be patient a little longer and the pathway will become clear
