AVZ Discussion 2022

A doctor, a lawyer and an engineer are arguing about which profession is the oldest.

The doctor says:
‘Even in the Old Testament, God created Eve from Adam's rib – clearly a surgical masterpiece!’

The lawyer counters:
‘Wait a minute! Before that, there was chaos – and God created order. That was a clear case of legal structuring!’

The engineer leans back, grins and says:
‘And who do you think created the chaos?’
To all contributors to Friday funnies I congratulate you on the humour we all look foward to during such stressful, fucked out ,and insane times times, I'm sure someone more organised and capable than myself could make a thread to to capture these golden moments to remember a joke before potentially selling a kidney or eventually proposing to the stressed out better half, and everything in between.
Keep positive we're nearly there. Pedro

The Washington Accord was scheduled to be complete by 11-Jul and hence, I asked Copilot for an update ...

M23–DRC Negotiations
  • The fifth round of Doha-led peace talks between the DRC and M23 resumed on 10 July, with senior-level delegations from both sides present.
  • Talks are reportedly “moving in the right direction”, but no final agreement has been reached yet.
  • M23 is demanding exclusive control of North and South Kivu for eight years, along with autonomy provisions and reintegration of allied militias.
  • The U.S. and Qatar are pushing for a resolution this week, ahead of the Heads of State protocol signing.
So, while negotiations are active, the M23 agreement has not yet been finalized.

🤝 Heads of State Protocol: Tshisekedi & Kagame
  • Presidents Tshisekedi and Kagame have not yet signed the full protocol as of 11 July.
  • The signing is expected to occur later this month in Washington, following the conclusion of the Trump African Leaders’ Summit.
  • Both leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to the Washington Accord, and their teams are coordinating the final steps.

Now the outlook is for resolution by mid-July ...

Based on the latest reporting from Critical Threats and Jeune Afrique, the U.S. and Qatar are pushing for a resolution between the DRC and M23 by approximately 13–14 July 2025. This timing aligns with their goal of concluding the Doha-led peace talks before the Heads of State protocol is signed later in July by Presidents Tshisekedi and Kagame.

While no exact deadline has been publicly declared, diplomatic sources cited in the reports suggest that mid-July is the informal target window for finalizing the M23 agreement to ensure it complements the broader Washington Accord framework.

I do not understand why anyone is bothering to talk to M23 and not instead just sending some drones to blow them up. This fucking country! There are 21,000 AVZ shareholders. There are less than 2,000 M23 fighters. We could take these fucking clowns.

I don't want M23 to go away.
I want them putting pressure on Felix until we get our money.
If M23 goes away, Felix fells safe enough not to need security from the US, and the whole thing falls over.

Fat boy is playing in the big league now. He may have his Republican Guard and a bunch of low life backstabbing "mates" including CCK ie Celestine and his slimy lying thieving mob but he is now dealing with the US and they have the CIA, Blackwater et al. The CIA specialise in regime change and if Felix doesnt play the game M23 will be the least of his worries

Fark me, i had no idea how much USA delved into DRC affairs historically, hence the irony with the purported DRC /RWANDA peace deal brokered by.....the USA.
If a country/region is messed up, you can pretty much guarantee either the USA and/or Britain and/or France and/or Russia have fucked around with it previously.

Effectively demanding that Felix cede sovereignty over eastern DRC. Not going to happen and, one presumes, puts paid to wrapping up an agreement with M23 any time soon. Not sure how this gets resolved.

For perspective, north and south Kivu are roughly the same size and roughly over twice the size of Rwanda each.

So M23 is wanting control of territory over 4x the size of Rwanda.
