I remember at the time not being shocked that Trump paused the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act to further American Economic and National Security interests 👇

He is also allowing for the Defence Department budget to include critical minerals.

Unfortunately Tshisekedi continues to lie and act corruptly, so if anyone here can get me a meeting with Trump, I’ll put it to him that he should let Rwanda topple Tshisekedi and he, we, KoBold and RIO Tinto can do a deal with Kagami instead of the fat corrupt fuckwit.

It might even be the best way to get CDL back
Its not like the US doesn't have a history of secretly recording the corrupt pricks being corrupt then releasing the footage to the world. It'd be hilarious if they did it to Tshisekedi.
Wouldn't be the first government they've toppled.

Best thing that could happen to DRC is US to take over governance. Corruption has lead them to this. The entire government should be strung up in the streets.

Mr Boulos sounds like a level headed intelligent and well informed spokesperson. Hopefully he can make the bottom dwelling thieves come to the table so we can all move forward. A lot of frayed nerves among the faithful AVZ crew at this point. Hang in there!!

DRC and M23 didn't reach an agreement over the weekend and reportedly there are no current plans to reinitiate discussions in Doha.

Can't find the source but I think it was from

They accuse of DRC of not playing ball

What’s wrong with telling M23 and Rwanda to get the fuck out of our country or the Yanks drones will chase you out, somebody grow some balls and start pushing some buttons then start on the fucking corrupt chinese arseholes.

I took my tinfoil hat off for a sec and this thought popped into my head… After Locke failed to string AVZ on and send them broke perhaps their masters then said let’s try and sue them and take their asset when they can’t pay… Better put my hat back on…..

They are only after 1.2m USD.... that is hardly taking the asset. That said prison rules, cant let anyone get one over on your or all of a sudden you are holding someones pocket being sold and passed around. Gotta Fight.

Same problem as Vietnam... how do you tell who is who? Also While the threat is still there I am sure US has more leverage in the negotiations.... if DRC end up being especially duplicitous (like they have treated us) the US might want to use the rebels for regime change or to illicit a more reasonable position/attitude.

This is business... Chinese, US, DRC, M23 they are all on the other side of the table to us until a deal is reached.

Does anyone else not think its actually in our best interests for M23 not to just fuk off straight away? It's kinda one of the big bargaining chips to force DRC to not fuk everyone over.

Peace deal moves things in the right direction by (notionally) taking Rwanda out of the mix, but I don't want DRC getting anything more until they also bring something to the table.

Felix is doing stuff against his will based on fear of M23, hence the request for security.

As soon as he thinks he is in no danger, he'll go back to sitting on his blurter and eating snacks.

An active threat is required to keep him moving.

Does M23 have a gofundme?

The kabuki dance must be performed first. The US have to try or at least be seen to be trying for a peaceful and fast solution. When that fails they will have their own fast.. solution. All that truly matters to them is that it is fast.

Honestly Nigel couldn't make it any easier for these pricks . Kobold /Rio pay AVZ to drop all legal proceedings/outcomes against the DRC and walk away . DRC collects $$Millions in Tax from AVZ . If they were not a bunch of corrupt compromised criminals this would be a no brainer .
If we are being paid “fuck off” money, then DRC don’t get a red cent of it. If and when they grant us the ML we then have an asset to sell and different rules apply*.

*The DRC follows the rule of law and they always follow their own laws.

I wish M23 is knocking on the door steps of Kinshasa at this very moment, to be honest.
It is pretty obvious the moment the M23 slowed down, the Tshesikedi clan felt pretty good again and ready to get on with the job of ripping the DRC off as per plan.
As long as M23 backs off, Felix will continue to play his normal game.
The fire has to burn a little closer to Felix's nuts, for him to take notice.

Interesting explanation from Rwanda's point of view about the DRC minerals for security deal.
It is worth watching.

Cheers Cruiser ; a good watch & sounds like a deal will happen ; if only for a - ‘lets give it a shot’ … even in that case I don’t give a shit as long as we’re first cab off the rank and we get out alive from this bullshit.

Sounds much like we already knew ; all these issues generate from the dark underbelly of DRC ; who just like to point the finger at someone else

I've gotta say Nigel and the BOD are doing an amazing job this time around at not letting any leaks out, as opposed to say last year when there were more winks on Twitter and TSE than you could poke a stick at. Not even Graeme or Clarkey have made any random comments or likes on Linkedin after a couple of reds for months.

I think I know why the ship is tight lately - Nigel sent me this photo he took in the boardroom last week ....
