Penny Wong has been absolutely, completely, fucking useless and negligent

Same as fucking Albo

Totally asleep both of the fucking idiots in relation to the situation of an Australian listed company, 21000 mostly Australian shareholders with billions wiped from their investments stolen by China and the DRC through corruption and criminal activity and all in relation to a world-wide, strategic mineral and resource that of itself has potential repercussions for other Australian listed companies who are exploring for and developing lithium mines both here and abroad

I have fucking had enough of both of those useless fucks and their piss-weak words and vapid wank

Hand me the mantle....
I aim to make more than enough money from AVZ to not worry about Politicians for the rest of my days.........

They are like nappies, should be changed often for the same reason...

Question is though does this help or hinder us?
Does it reinforce USA against investment in DRC? Or mange to impose conditions?
Or incentivse DRC to find a high profile case they can resolve as a gesture to show mineral resource projects CAN be protected by rule of law?

I have a Toyota Corollary,

2010, done 132k, in good nick
You've got another 200K plus in that one. As a corollary, my first car was a Toyota Coronally. Eventually died on the backroads of Tasmania at over 330K

And what would you have them do?
Send in the army?
I’m a holder and hoping for a good result but truth is DRC is corrupt and Australia has zero leverage.
And, in any case, why would Australia be enthusiastic about helping a lithium project in DRC that will produce a large amount of lithium supply for China and undercut Australian Lithium producers?

I want the hon senator, Minister for Foreign Affairs to respond to a reasonable and legitimate question about what support (if any) the Australian government has provided to the Australian company, AVZ Minerals and its 20,000 mostly Australian shareholders in their fight against the corrupt expropriation of its DRC assets.

I think that's not too much to ask, particularly when this falls within her portfolio of responsibilities.

Cheers
F

That reminds me, this has been in the fridge since 2022.

I was planning to open when we got the mining license. 🤣

And if an "Australian" company was developing the resource in Manono just maybe, just maybe with co-operation and support of the Australian Government they could have assisted other "Australian" companies in the broader global lithium market somehow for the wider benefit of all Australian lithium miners....ya know?

Sort of sounds strategic doesn't it?

KoBold has reportedly proposed a compromise: AVZ would receive compensation for dropping its claims, Zijin would retain control of the northern section of Manono, and KoBold would develop the southern portion. The U.S. company also suggested that minority shares be held directly by the Congolese state rather than Cominière.

By extrapolation any compensation for AVZ dropping its claims would have to include the value of both north and south as part of that compensation amount or its not in shareholder interest to drop the claims (notwithstanding an appropriate discount of total value for immediacy if its a lump sum vs royalty or delayed payment arrangement).

There is leverage available here to show DRC as an investable region on the international stage if they make it right.
That doesn’t say or imply AVZ will receive compensation specifically for the north

I’m sure KoBold are willing to pay for the whole tenement but let Zijin have the north just not to antagonise China. While antagonising China by rat fucking CATH. Makes perfect sense.

Defo agree that this is all a test by Trump to see how investible the DRC is for the gringos

I wonder, strategically, if the existing Australian lithium miners are happy to see Manolo undeveloped as long as possible?
Less lithium supply is in their interests. Particularly given the recent CATH agreement would give CATH/China all the output for the first five years.
