National deputies, during a plenary session held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, voted on the draft calendar for the ordinary September session.![]()
As a result, 12 new subjects were scheduled to be examined and voted on during the last session of this legislature.
These include:
- proposal for a finance law for the 2024 financial year;
- proposal for a law on the reporting of the finance law for the financial year 2022;
- bill on the surrender of the ordinance on the authorization of the state of siege;
- draft law on elusive property and rights;
- draft law on fundamental principles relating to fisheries and aquaculture in the DRC;
- bill on the creation, organization and operation of the national order of nutritionists and dieticians in the DRC;
- bill amending and supplementing the law on the Mining Code as amended and supplemented in March 2018;
- draft law amending and amending the law on the Labour Code etc...
However, the office of the Lower House of Parliament, in concomitun with the Conference of Presidents, decided to suspend this budget session next November in order to allow the elected representatives of the people to go and fight for the legislative and presidential elections of December 2023.
Nevertheless, there is doubt in view of the predetermined time to exhaust all the materials remaining in the various commissions.

Sounds like the industry codes of conduct that we have here in AustraliaInteresting article re the idea of an “Industry Code” …
- In accordance with the DRC mining code, the establishment of a General Industry Law that would be called the "Industry Code";
The mining licence was cancelled without any legal basis in an act of the prince. Conflicts between shareholders of a JV as a reason for cancellation of a granted PE is not listed in the DRC Mining Code.
