Yes very positive. Like many others I think BrainChip is coming out of its shell and it feels like we are close. I just wish I was a more mature investor and didn’t giggle on reading things like the panel including a Rear Admiral.

I'm Spartacus!
Maybe they (BrainChip) are being a bit quiet and cagey about what Kevin has been producing because they are "close" to signing off, on some deals, with some big established players incorporating similar examples in real life active systems but under strict NDA's.

And so, whilst cognisant of what Kevin has achieved, and that they would normally be more actively promoting and advertising, atm they are instead somewhat sheepishly merely acknowledging it in a muted fashion.

Just spitballing here based on nothing but a possible scenario.

A completely worthless, subjective thought from me this morning .... but I'm guessing it is shared by many others on this forum.

I've spent the last few hours again reading edge AI & neuromorphic opinion pieces, scientific papers, the work by Kevin Johnson, reading through the website, Frontgrade Gaisler developments, AKD1500 Specifications, ForwardEdge ASIC selection, Klepsydra Technologies partnership, etc. etc.

I have an overwhelming sense of - " Shit, we are actually going to make it ".

And the markets will start to wake up to this fact and respond accordingly in 2026.
Love the bullishness Quiltman.
I know there is no doubt that the valuation of our patents and IP is quite beyond our current MC and SP. Worst comes to worst, we are certainly valued much more than now for sure on tech fundamentals alone.

This is what keeps me here. But we are still a research focussed company in a massive upcoming 'Spy v Spy', completely ruthless narrative that is broadly termed as 'ai', and this is a mental space to be in if anyone has been paying attention.

Openclaw has been an interesting breakthrough, in neuromorphic, we are certainly one of the top players for awareness (in tech) and of course fundamentals and I also believe our time will come too because as we all know, our tech can be damned useful if taken on commercially by friggin anyone.

Probem is, the business side. Who funds what and why? This is important to know and I will be asking questions why they think broken promises is OK. I worry only about management and not fundamentals.

I wonder for the permabulls (lack for a better word) @manny100 @Diogenese , do you guys care about the business side?

Cheers all,
Gazdix

Role just popped up. Work on Gen 3 NPU plus LLM integrations from what I can see.

Principal Software Architect

BrainChip Laguna Hills, CA

BrainChip is pioneering neuromorphic edge AI processors that deliver ultra-low-power intelligence at the point of data creation. We are seeking a seasoned Principal Software Architect with 7+ years of deep systems software experience to own the full developer platform for our 3rd-generation Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

Reporting directly to the CTO and partnering closely with our internal compiler lead, you will architect, integrate, and deliver a production-grade software ecosystem—including a VS Code-based IDE with embedded LLM assistance, system-level profiling, target-side bootloader, RTOS integration, and advanced debugging—all built atop mature open-source foundations and our in-house compiler.

Your mission: assemble together a seamless, best-in-class developer experience that hides complexity and accelerates adoption of BrainChip’s unique neuromorphic hardware.

This is a hybrid role, in our Laguna Hills, CA office 2x-3x a week.

Key Responsibilities

1.Developer Platform Architecture & Integration

  • Own end-to-end integration of our internal compiler into a unified toolchain with runtime, IDE, debugger, profiler, and deployment pipeline.

2.VS Code IDE with LLM-Powered Developer Assistance

3. System-Level Profiling & Performance Observability

4. Target-Side Bootloader & RTOS Integration

  • Architect a secure, minimal target bootloader supporting:

5. Debugging & Hardware-in-the-Loop Workflow

  • Extend GDB/LLDB with NPU-specific commands for cycle-accurate stepping, event tracing, and state inspection (membranes, synapses, queues).
  • Support JTAG, SWD, and OTA debug with non-intrusive hardware tracing.

6. Hardware-Software Co-Design Feedback Loop

  • Work hand-in-hand with the CTO and silicon team to expose hardware capabilities via software abstractions.
  • Use profiling and simulation data to influence microarchitecture (e.g., memory tiling, sparsity engines, event routing).
Qualifications

  • Education: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience:
  • 7+ years in systems software; 3+ years integrating and productizing complex toolchains (compilers, IDEs, debuggers, profilers).
  • Proven success shipping VS Code extensions or full developer platforms used by external teams desired.
  • Deep experience with open-source integration and upstream contribution workflows.
  • Technical Expertise in many of the following:
– IDE & Tooling: VS Code Extension API, LSP, DAP, TypeScript, WebAssembly UI.

– Debug & Profiling: GDB/LLDB extensions, OpenOCD, eBPF, perf, hardware trace

(ETM/HTM).

– RTOS & Embedded: Zephyr/FreeRTOS, device trees, linker scripts, bare-metal bring-up.

– Build & Packaging: CMake, Ninja, Yocto, Debian packaging, CI/CD.

– Languages: Expert in C/C++, Rust; strong in Python, TypeScript.

– Compiler Integration: LLVM/MLIR tooling, plugin architecture, pass management

  • Domain Fit: Experience with edge AI, neuromorphic, or ultra-low-power SoCs strongly preferred and/or intense curiosity and interest.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upstream contributions to VS Code, LLVM, Zephyr, OpenOCD, or other large opensource projects.
  • Experience with LLM integration in IDEs (Copilot, CodeLlama, custom fine-tuned models).
  • Secure boot and firmware update systems in production devices.
  • Patents or publications in developer tools, profiling, or edge AI deployment.
  • Strong Background in robotics and embedded system

You're not doing Lent?
Has Renesas finally developed that chip integrating AKIDA?
Neural processor included but we will not get confirmation until specs are released.
Timelines match up.

I remember asking along time ago if brainchip was compatible with chiplets and if I remember correctly I was told by someone here, PVM wasn't heading in that direction of chiplets.
I think their response may have been an emotional opnion only rather than a factual one as it was several years ago when chiplets were first being discussed.
The chiplet market is 💯 we're brainchip will work extremely well and be integrated with specific LLM for auto market, imo.
Fingers, toes and eyes crossed we are apart of these chiplets as this will be HUGE.
My opinion is we are.
Go brainchip.
