BRN Discussion Ongoing

Yes, it's not a fruit, I am sure they already have a great idea on how many to sell, so I assume they have already manufactured some and is in the process of making more... I hope I am wrong... Maybe they've paid MegaChips and we are waiting for MegaChips to pay us but based on the history, we have never been in the mass produced items so I rather be surprised than disappointed again and again

I remember at one stage, even before Akida, some were suggesting we were in Amazon's Alexa... new phones... etc... lol....still nothing....

Imo only dyor
"Product royalties are payments made for the use of a patented product or technology. Typically, these royalties are calculated as a percentage of the sales revenue generated from the product, ensuring that the patent holder receives ongoing compensation for their invention"

"Typically" they work on actual sales of the products, but it depends entirely on how the royalty system was set up.
As we have no information at all about that, I don't know how you could come to the conclusion you have?..

News from our partner Neurobus:

Gregor Lenz is stepping down as CTO, but will remain onboard as a Technological Advisor. Nicolas Bourdis (until recently Software & Computer Vision Engineering Director at Prophesee) will succeed him as CTO.

...In my opinion, the timing of Nintendo's sales is not necessarily the same as when we receive royalties (IF we r even in it). They would have manufactured units before releasing them for sale to people, meaning royalties are rather based on production rather than actual sales.

So if they build 100,000 units, we should get paid for 100,000 units not how many they sell to individuals.

That said, my main point was that we are probably not involved in this because there is nothing concrete linking us to it maybe other than being a partner of one of Nintendo’s many partners...

I hope I am wrong...

IMO only...

We're going around in circles, but royalties are usually paid on products sold, not made.

Again, we don't know the royalty structure, so anything said, is just speculation, but your opinion, isn't "usually" how things work.

Also, I think you are underestimating MegaChip's relationship with Nintendo.

Nintendo is a major customer of theirs and there is more than a passing possibility, that the original licence, was taken out with them in mind.

From the original strategic partnership release.

"By partnering with BrainChip, MegaChips is able to quickly and easily maintain its industry innovator status by supplying solutions and applications that leverage the Akida revolutionary technology in markets such as automotive, IoT, cameras, gaming and industrial robotics".
(emphasis mine)

That is getting close to 3 and a half years now, which would work out as an appropriate development time frame, so us being in the Switch 2, is not "Pie in the Sky" hope.

ISL recently entered into a joint marketing agreement with BrainChip to promote and provide products and services for AI-based radar research solutions based on BrainChip’s Akida™ neural networking processor. ISL proved the "efficacy of using BrainChip’s Akida neuromorphic chip to implement some of the most challenging real-time radar/EW signal processing algorithms,” said Dr. Joseph R. Guerci, ISL President and CEO. “This was accomplished by combining ISL’s advanced RF Digital Engineering tools with BrainChip’s developer’s kit. This combination resulted in a low cost, size, weight and power (SWaP-C) solution for challenging edge computing applications in aerospace and defense.” Low SWaP-C and greater computing power is great for our warfighters and a challenging development for our adversaries!

Holding onto what I've got
IMO, today 2 announcements .

AGM: "In advance of the AGM, the Board would like to outline the rationale and provide some key perspectives and clarity on the design of compensation arrangements for directors and executive"

and

BRN Showcases Future Technology Roadmap: "This is a separate Technology Roadmap......Dr. Jonathan Tapson, BrainChip’s Chief Development Officer, will share the Company’s Technology Roadmap, including development plans for its Akida designs, software stack, models and hardware offerings. As part of this presentation, Dr. Tapson will offer insights on the market and customer requirements."

I feel like they is no news coming out soon and the are trying to avoid a repeat from last year. a shit-sandwich!
