Never investing in Africa if this comes out positive. On key consideration I’ve come to realise with geo risk is the potential partnership pool for countries like the DRC. Unsavoury partners are usually happy with this level of risk and just hope avz can circumnavigate this currently. Hopefully with no China involved at all

Btw it looks like RD and CdL is flooded again.

Without ML no need to keep it pumped dry and this way nobody can mine it in a massive way, without getting wet feet.
Lets hope the frogs dont infest it again

Which one is your favourite mate?
I'm in GDI right now.

Been eyeing off BWF due to the buy-back but with it's suspiciously high yield I haven't pulled the trigger..

AOF and GOZ have good yields but not the same tax benefits..

TC.

There's a few ways it can be done

Given that most likely the buyer will be Chinese they will buy our 75% of Dathcom as FIRB won't allow them to take over AVZ on the ASX

It will then be up to management how to proceed. Either wind up the company and pay out all cash as a special dividend or pay out some cash and continue operations with a new tenement in another country like a totally random example of Tanzania

Obviously if buyer is not Chinese or from another hostile state then they would most likely just buy us out on the ASX without the need for us to trade again but that is extremely unlikely

Either way 'shareholders would have to sign off on the deal and ot (sic) would have to be commercial - that is we get money' according to the dear leader but that was said privately only to select shareholders lmao
I understand the theory Carlos about China TO of Dathcom not AVZ aka FIRB, but i highly doubt Australia / West are going to allow that to happen given the strategic nature of Manono.

I can see a European / US TO being successful given the rest of the world is looking to capture supply chains outside of China, that would make sense, but allowing China to capture Manono, makes no sense at all........bat shit crazy if you asked me!

One capital manager I know of does direct asx 200 shares portfolios for investors.... they buy say a dozen top 200 stocks, then they sell options on those shares and collext dividends.... nets about 13% income yield and usually growth of modest amounts....

Literally me at FIRB headquarters if Zijin offer $12 a share for the 75% of Dathcom which is accepted by the bod and it receives shareholder approval but FIRB block it

I'm not sure but Dathcom (I believe) is not domiciled in Oz. So I'm not convinced the FIRB has any say in what happens to the ownership of that entity. Not being a pain here Beish. But yes if someone tries to "own" AVZ in OZ then FIRB interest might be raised and have an influence. But the shareholding status of Dathcom? .....I'm still not sure on whether there is any restriction or jurisdiction that has any impact on that? 🤷‍♂️

Your not being a pain at all, we are all just theorising at the end of the day, our BOD would know, but unfortunately there was no question time at the last AGM, which would of been a great time to pose that possibility. BTW, I did get to ask Nigel personally if there were any TO offers presented, he replied.........NO.
