Your missing the point, I'm not talking about the content, that is great !

The post by Derek Kuhn (President & CEO of HaiLa) got 206 likes , 9 comments and 15 reposts - great stuff !!!

Reposted by our Chief Marketing Officer and it gets 9 likes ..... something is wrong !
It's not unusual for reposts with text to receive few likes.

The whole point of a repost is simply to link to an interesting post. Drawing any conclusions about a repost based on the number of likes, or correlating them, is pointless.

Here is some info on Dávid Juhász, who has been a Senior Software Engineer with Frontgrade Gaisler since June 2025.

He is one of the 15 co-authors of the Project NEURAVIS paper “Evaluation of Neuromorphic computing technologies for very low power AI/ML applications”(https://thestockexchange.com.au/threads/brn-discussion-ongoing.1/post-475105), which was a collaboration between Airbus Defence & Space Toulouse, Airbus Defence & Space Ottobrunn, BrainChip, Frontgrade Gaisler, Neurobus and ESA.

While said paper is no longer accessible via the link provided in my above September 2025 post (although preserved in the form of screenshots) 👆🏻, the EDHPC25 NEURAVIS presentation by co-author Roland Brochard, Computer Vision Expert for Space Systems at Airbus Defence & Space Toulouse, can still be accessed online:

Dávid Juhász is also involved in the recently launched VAIAS project (November 2025 - November 2027) 👇🏻 alongside his Frontgrade Gaisler colleague Daniel Andersson and their partner team around Rapidity Space CEO Mattias Örth.
The objective of VAIAS is “to validate and commercialize GR801, a neuromorphic AI accelerator designed for onboard autonomy in space missions” (https://esaphilab.se/vaias-project/).

A week ago, I shared my findings about a new ESA-Phi-Lab Sweden project called VAIAS (Validation of an AI Accelerator for Space), which is a collaboration between Frontgrade Gaisler and Rapidity Space that aims to validate the GR801 neuromorphic AI accelerator (-> Akida) for onboard autonomy in radiation-prone environments.

Today, RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) 🇸🇪 posted on LinkedIn about the official kick-off for VAIAS and two other ESA Phi-Lab Sweden Edge AI space projects:

I don’t think this is an indicator for something. It’s not Instagramm and I personally don’t know whether his account is designed to generate likes and visibility. If someone isn’t very active on LinkedIn or isn’t connected with him, they simply won’t like the posts.

I can see it in myself as well: I don’t even like everything my close friends or business partners post. If I really like something, I’ll usually message them directly. Otherwise I just take it in—even if it sounds good. Nobody is on LinkedIn 24/7.

Any clients or slow moving clients stalling to commit to Akida?

I just wonder who actually got exposure to Akida 3.0 and potential opportunities?

Yes, it's coming, AKD 1500 is the next cab out of the foundry, but AKD 2 0 is also in play and what about the question many have been asking, which was mentioned by the company at some point in the past, yes I'm referring to, a USB stick.

Maybe the dickheads who like bagging me could give you all an answer, USB or no plans for a USB stick...which is it ? 🤣🧠📈

Hi Andy

May wanna check out a post of mine back in Oct 2024 about a Dell patent.

Doesn't confirm a connection other than they are aware of our existence and the possibility we are compatible with what they are patenting (with other options like Loihi etc too).

Hi FMF,

I've been down several rabbit holes and sampled all the mushrooms, and the tidings are ebbing:

Qualcomm NPU Published May 19, 2025

Dell is the first OEM to make a Copilot+ laptop with a dedicated NPU, and it's from Qualcomm

The main selling point of the new Dell Pro Max Plus is the Qualcomm AI 100 inference card, which Dell says includes two AI 100 cards for a total of 32 AI cores and 64GB of on-board memory, which is separated from the main RAM of the system. This allows the Dell Pro Max Plus to handle Large language Models with up to 109 billion parameters.

But they do have some lead in their saddlebags:-

https://www.qualcomm.com/artificial-intelligence/data-center/cloud-ai-100-ultra

The Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 Ultra, the newest member of our portfolio of cloud artificial intelligence (AI) inference cards, is a performance- and cost-optimized AI inference solution, designed for Generative AI and large language models (LLMs). With up to 576 MB of on-die SRAM and 64 AI cores per card - and programmability for a wide range of workloads and acceleration techniques - Qualcomm Cloud AI 100 solutions address the unique requirements for scaling classic and generative AI workloads, ranging from computer vision and natural language processing to transformer-based LLMs.

Maybe some other computer maker will recognize the capabilities of TENNs ...

It is confusing. GRAIN is the name of the project and everything falls under that. The GR801 chip was its first chip and was/is fully commercial.
The VAIAS project falls under the GRAIN project (everything does).
The original GR801 chip was commercial in the sense it was available for sale to research labs, universities, early adopters etc but it was not yet fully commercial in the sense that it was not qualified for actual space travel - hence the VAIAS project to get the qualification.
Pretty much standard practice in the industry. If chip makers waited for full commercial space qualification pretty much nothing would ever leave the ground.
Its confusing for sure.
Its amazing how long these project take. Even Autos when they are 'very' neuromorphic and the roads full of them people would not believe the concept was first introduces maybe 7, 8 or 9 years ago.
I guess that is why the BRN rush is currently on wearables and defense with wearables likely the quickest.
The Frontgrade licence was granted in Dec'24 and the VAIAS project funded by Sweden announced in Dec'25.

Hi @manny100,

GRAIN is not “the name of the project” - it stands for “Gaisler Research Artificial Intelligence NOEL-V”, and is Frontgrade Gaisler’s new product line that was announced at the RISC-V in Space Workshop in Gothenburg in April 2025.

The GR801 SoC, which combines Gaisler’s NOEL-V RISC-V processor and Akida, is the new GRAIN product line’s first device. Which means we can expect more to come. However, it is by no means guaranteed that the next GRAIN product that gets revealed will again involve Akida. It could theoretically also involve one of our competitors’ offerings or no neuromorphic technology at all.

And no, GR801 is not yet commercial. Where did you get this idea from?

GR801 has never been for sale. It continues to be listed as being under development on the Frontgrade Gaisler website, and it is being developed specifically for space applications, just like the rest of the GRAIN product line:

“Frontgrade Gaisler is designing the entire GRAIN product line to enable more advanced and autonomous space missions, and to enhance the space industry's capabilities in energy-efficient AI.”

So I’m afraid we won’t be seeing any sales of GR801 SoCs any time soon.

Thanks for the link Rach,

Good to see Akida still outperforming Intel….

Independent cybersecurity brief white paper released about 6 days ago by the below author who is the cybersecurity industry.

Is about 9 pages but I snipped some relevant parts that I thought were worthwhile re Akida.

Liked the case study with Akida and tactical drones and the performance benchmarks table.

Reeks of GenAI to me…

The author provides no sources for the alleged quantitative performing benchmarks on cybersecurity metrics (it is not a table from a Quantum Ventura publication, in case you wondered) nor for any of the supposed real-world use cases.

If these were his own cybersecurity benchmarking results, where is the description of his experiment setup etc?

Looks very sus to me.

Interesting, the April 2025 launch implies the GR801 is commercial and part of their product line. The release may be 'done up' to look better than it is?

Hey all, an update on my avatar, Canadian clinician and researcher Dr. Brenda Milner, who is considered to be one of the pioneers of cognitive neuroscience (I thought it was fitting for this forum and she is a living legend in my profession!) She is approaching 108 years of age and apparently still working! There's a message in that! Do what you love and stay curious xx

Live Interviews and all that stuff didn’t change the share price either …
Quite the opposite… from experience, it fuels false hopes and leads to speculation.
So…. What ever

Me too. I think it is wrong that they are not doing more to communicate any commercial progress they are making to shareholders and potential investors. If the CEO can claim that now is the time for revenue to come in then I think it is reasonable to expect them to present some form of revenue forecast. There isn’t much investor confidence in BrainChip which according to our CEO there should be. I think more needs to be done to communicate success to investors. It would be nice to know if Sean hit his KPI of $12 M in bookings. That would be a start.
