AVZ Discussion 2022

Wasn't that the Act that Trump paused in February??:eek:
Yes — on February 10, 2025, President Trump issued Executive Order 14209, titled “Pausing Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Enforcement to Further American Economic and National Security.” This order directed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to halt all new FCPA investigations and enforcement actions for an initial 180 days.

The key word is "pause". For a more permanent outcome it would need to goto the Congress I believe.

welcome back @Doc - no TSE for 3 weeks? where do you go to avoid that?

Our money is a bit closer than 3 weeks ago, and probably some more than 3 weeks ago too

signing off to watch 2 rugby internationals
Cruise around Iceland and Norway. Great trip, thought I’d take the opportunity to detach from the AVZ saga for a bit and get some sleep!
Good to hear we may be progressing to a resolution but I don’t trust the DRC so I won’t be happy until I go to the atm and see lots of zeros on the end of my account balance.

If the gringos wanna involve Cominiere then let them have fun with that

Most important bit for us is KoBold will buy Roche Dure so that disputes are resolved

A little bit of the bubbly is imminent imo
i will believe it when i see it via AVZ communications.

And i certainly hope a deal is imminent before TRUMP disappears the way Jeffrey did.....

I suppose if the DRC don't admit to our existence at least we won't be required to pay any local taxes. Partial win for the good guys!
Guaranteed these slime balls want their cake and eat it. P
Agreed, we should be now completing construction of the largest lithium mine on the planet, and preparing for the next lithium bull run, not paying them (the proven grubs) for attempting to steal it back and illegally flogging it off for a second time, what a pack of clowns thinking we wont drag them all through the courts kicking and screeming, while stupidly protesting their innocense, pay up or else, and shove your tax up your a... :devilish:

https://www.state.gov/releases/offi...-congo-river-alliance-march-23-movement-faci/

The United States welcomes the signing of a Declaration of Principles between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and representatives of Congo River Alliance/March 23 Movement, facilitated by the State of Qatar, and observed by the United States. We commend the Parties for taking this meaningful step toward advancing lasting peace and stability in the Great Lakes region.

We express our sincere gratitude to the State of Qatar for its critical role in facilitating this process. Qatar’s leadership and dedication to fostering dialogue between the DRC and M23 have been instrumental in supporting a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

This achievement builds upon the Peace Agreement signed between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda on June 27, 2025, in Washington, D.C., and complements the broader efforts to advance durable peace and prosperity in the region.

The United States encourages the parties to uphold their commitments under the Declaration of Principles and continue discussions required to reach a full peace agreement. The United States remains committed to driving progress toward a peace in eastern DRC that results in the restoration of DRC authority and inclusive governance that allows for the people of the region to return home and realize a more prosperous future.

To right hedrox, absolutely!
let's all be honest here, regardless of the outcome (other than some fantasy # that we have already been advised by the 'grt Jen' WONT happen, + others have said similar, not just "the sewer rat" on hc crpr, (I might add) instead of telling investors to get down on their knees and be thankful, grateful, almost asked to plead and say thankyou that we might get something......for taking the risk and patience, on what might have been a Total Fkg Lemon (that no other f...er was really interested in backing it with cold hard cash$$$$) but turned out to be the behemoth of all known lith deposits on mother earth, a once in a lifetime investment by AVZ investors, which they are unlikely to ever experience again in their lifetime, which is going to get taken over by western billionaires, who also say they are not prepared to support or continue the practice of bribing the absolute upper echolons of the DRC GOV and their stooges, as the Chinese have and still are doing under the current DRC GOV, who still try to con/imply/tell the World its not us thats DODGEY (yeah right) its AVZ and their CEO and Chairman! pfff, guess what clowns, NO ONE BELIEVES YOU, sorry:sneaky:.
You are the crooks and thieves, we only did to the LETTER what you told us to do.....
BRIBE NOBODY!!!! Isn't that correct, FELIX!!!!

So, no, I have zero intention of being grateful to the DRC or any muppet who thinks that paying anything less than the true replacement value of a once only in a lifetime deposit/mine that will have 'massive capital growth over its lifetime', plus huge dividends which in time will make the so called fantasy figures talked about here, look like a joke!
And if what is 'supposedly' going to be offered.......
? is simply theft, of a once-in-a-lifetime golden ticket, lost to the true and only proper owners of pe13359.
Of course, if we get a value inline with what AVZ's true flagship is worth, then yes, I will eat humble pie and be grateful, but until that happens I WONT.

Equity Club looking for drama without research .

KoBold in the Congo: More Confusion Near Manono

KoBold Metals dropped a bombshell this week that might have raised the blood pressure of some AVZ shareholders.

The billion-dollar US startup (backed by big names like Breakthrough Energy Ventures) announced a $150 million exploration deal in the DRC. The problem is it’s with Cominière, the same state-run entity that’s at the centre of AVZ’s legal dispute over Manono.

For context, AVZ shareholders have endured years of uncertainty since trading was suspended in May 2022. The company is pursuing international arbitration against the DRC through the World Bank-backed ICSID framework, claiming unlawful seizure of its 75% stake in what’s considered one of the world’s largest hard rock lithium deposits.

While KoBold hasn’t confirmed precise tenement boundaries, the market’s treating this as a serious escalation in the contest for Manono control. The deal may include areas adjacent to, or overlapping with, the disputed lithium project.

AVZ shareholders are all too familiar with the deals and alleged influence Cominière has within the DRC.

For AVZ holders, this is a surprising development given previous talks between AVZ and KoBold. It highlights just how complex and fragile this situation is.

It’s another twist in what’s already been a gruelling few years for shareholders.

KoBold’s move adds another layer to an already tangled picture. If KoBold does move forward with exploration, it could reshape how Manono’s future unfolds.

And only time will tell where AVZ sits within it all.

And only time will tell

Tim will……. imminently

Fucken hell, they don’t really do much research do they.

Yes, Kobold signed an agreement, of which one leg relates to new exploration on new tenements, another is digitisation of the geological data shit held on bits of paper in empty brown bags.

Secondly, no matter what we might think of Cominiere, they are still the state-owned mining body as far as I know, and need to be included in any sale of RD, as ACCORDING TO AVZ, ICC and ICSID, they currently hold 25% of DATHCOM. What doesn’t need to happen is for them to be involved in negotiations - Kobold made that clear on day 1

CKK is in the room as CEO of Cominiere, and possibly also as an ‘appointed expert’ as we were notified of a few weeks ago (to our universal dismay)
