My line of thinking here is that there is going to be a distinct difference between the competitive edge for an EAP customer to be "first to market", versus the competitive edge once their products are actually on the market. There is a benefit for EAP customers to gain a higher market share for their products that use Akida by keeping this quiet until they hit the market. But once they've commercialised their product then they're going to need to promote the technology that differentiates them from other competitors to maintain their lead.I just watched Sean's presentation. It was confident without being revealing. More seasoned Brainchip followers would have heard this before. There were a couple of questions on when Brainchip could reveal some of their clients, but Sean said if the ASX require them to be revealed they would do so, but otherwise if the client wants to remain hidden, that is what will happen.

In one of the later presentations by the former CEO Mr. Dinardo he mentioned a project in China managing energy use in a city. Tucked away in the above MegaChip’s game plan for expansion is embracing new technology for you guessed it “energy control” and it is listed for rapid expansion.This is MegaChip’s mission:

Yeah....I'm not buying the smartphone answer entirely. Louis DiNardo was promoting cell phones and laptops as a target market until the very beginning of 2020 when they suddenly dropped off the radar. If the power savings with Akida are beneficial for electric vehicles for voice recognition and always-on applications, then they're even more valuable for a smart phone or laptop. My hope is that they only dropped off the radar because these smartphone companies have it in their NDA for Brainchip to apply the cone of silence.Morning TechGirl,

Also , the likes of LDA due to our capitol call arrange could also have used a Bot to drive the SP down to gain benefit while that would have also assisted Shorters and Accumulators.Thanks Dang,
I think I understand in a small way.......... especially the bit about good for govt revenue but not for citizens.
Bots will be Bots I guess ......... didn't realise we also have our own to push things up.
Bots seem to me to only be very small volumes, even though they will all add up to a tidy sum by days end .......... the majority of the volume will come from us humans.
Humans and for that matter bots - with an ASX registered number showing next to the trade would help create a more fair view of trading patterns.
Transparency with Anonymity ......... Government still gets the tax.
Just my layman idea ..... to help not stop the rorting/shorting, but to possibly show it.

We know based on experience bringing EAP customers from EAP to commercial engagement is a process which takes an extended period.
On this basis it is reasonable to expect MegaChips may have been an EAP at the time the former CEO Mr. Dinardo spoke about energy management.
The energy management market will be huge and is one where by necessity rapid adoption is expected and required.
China, MegaChips, energy control/management, Smart City are areas for research.

Absolutely correct. The Mercedes PUBLIC VALIDATION now provides the prestige factor that marketing people love. But once they've commercialised their product then they're going to need to promote the technology that differentiates them from other competitors to maintain their lead.
There is a FINAL point I want to make about this presentation. The CEO Sean Hehir was asked a question and he answered that question with one three letter WORD and that WORD was:Firstly thanks again TechGirl I was registered but slept in.
Secondly while we know about Mercedes I was pleasantly surprised with how freely the CEO Sean Hehir spoke to the relationship between Mercedes and Brainchip. This expanding openness for my money speaks to a growing confidence that Mercedes is a solid adopter and the CEO and Brainchip are feeling increasingly confident about where it is going. In the beginning it was very much egg shells all round about what can we say, we need to be careful, we do not want to upset Mercedes etc; I could not be happier about this relationships future for the company.
Thirdly when asked about mobile phones he said they are not focused on this area he did not say they were not working in this area. The former CEO Mr. Dinardo made numerous references to mobile phones but the one thing that sticks out relevant to Sean Hehir's comments is this comment 'mobile phones are an interesting use case. You have to hit them at the right time in their development cycle. A development cycle for a new phone is about 4 years.'
Now to be clear I have not gone back to find Mr, Dinardo's exact words this is just my memory of his words which I have no doubt is accurate as to the message he delivered but is not intended to be taken as word perfect.
So if we consider that the final commercial AKD1000 with improved performance came out only last year and the development cycle is four years and you need to hit it at the right time and you are chasing the best opportunity for getting income through the door even if you were engaged with a mobile phone maker today you would not be focused on them because they would not presently provide the best pathway to revenue.

Cheers @Fact Finder. And just on the smart phones...my recollection is the same as you for the smartphone design cycle. Obviously all phone companies release a new model every year, but it's around a 4 year design cycle for the major design changes. The last mention I can recall from Louis was in the transcript from the January 2020 webinar...extract below...Absolutely correct.
