They reposted the campaign three years later.
"In just four (4!) days, we have come together:
- Created this group that, at the time of writing, reaches out to over 380 people from near and far. People who want to get involved, inform and get information.
- Created a peaceful demonstration where over 120 people participated. With four different speakers, music and signs.
- Those who got involved are old and young, from Vittangi, neighbouring villages, Sami villages. They have links to associations and businesses, athletes, cultural figures, outdoor enthusiasts, cottage owners, people with a foreign background, newcomers, expats and people who have lived in the area all their lives.
- Reaching out with our message to county-wide media. TV, radio and newspapers. They have reported before, during and after the demonstration.
And they want to be kept informed so they can report!
- Reached out with our message to Talga who had representatives on site yesterday. They were happy to see the engagement and saw it as very problematic that they have been invisible and not communicated enough, or listened to the people.
- Reached out to local politicians who have listened to people's concerns, and will work more closely with the people to ensure that everyone's thoughts are heard.
- Got over 70 names on a list of people from the demonstration who want more information going forward from others than just Talga. And who want to get involved in this in one way or another going forward. The list is being filled with more people all the time.

- Already started planning for what we all will do together in the future. Still on a small scale, but this is growing as you read this. Other clean nature and fresh water movements are following us and sharing what we do.
- We have done all of this. It started with some villagers and expat villagers starting to talk to each other. Started talking that we have to do something, we can't be silent anymore!
The purpose of this group and the demonstration yesterday was mainly for people who are concerned about mining in Nunasvaara. That we would meet each other and see that there are more than just ‘mining haters’ in the north. We have done that - together!
A big thank you to all of you who, in one way or another, share, spread, participate and get involved!
This is just the beginning!
Look what we have achieved together in just a few days, everyone's effort has made a difference, no matter how ‘big’ it was!
THIS is the power of people working together and getting involved*. Everything works when we work together!
So what happens now?
Well! There are several people who have been involved for a long time who will make use of the list of names.
Everyone will be compiled and we will jointly plan what we do next.**
Now we will all land a little after this intense week!
What we will all continue to do, however, is talk to each other. At home, at the shop, on social media, in the association, at work, in the exercise loop.
You don't need to know everything. But there are those here in the village who know a lot about this process.

Keep talking to each other - don't be afraid!
Again - It is NEVER too late to get involved. And the last is not yet said about the future of Nunasvaara.
