I'm putting this up as a reference because this announcment contained a lot of information that any would be inverstor would want to know in regards to the history of
"DLE" and how that applies to geothermal lithium brine sources like what VUL is developing.
I tend to put "DLE" in quotes because it is a generic term covering various technologies and techniques.
It doesn't mean anything other than a mission statement of saying "we are trying to extract lithium quickly" and therefore we won't use evaporation ponds.(energy efficient but slow)
In many instances the steps will still be similar to get the "crude oil" of lithium which is LiCl ... but quickly.
There is a lot of marketing going on using this term and just like not all traditional operators will see success, the rate of success on all would be "DLE" operators will be even lower - just reality and logical.
