Are you invested in CVN? If so, what are the highlights and lowlights from your perspective?
mate the way i see it, as at today so ignoring the recent buffalo drill.
lowlights:- its oil, oil is on the nose. But many have stated oil is required for many years to come. (but lets not debate that here)
highlight:- 1) Dorado field discovered, one of the largest oil find in the NWS for many years. Peak oil production from Dorado WILL be per day 75k to 100k barrel per day. CVN 20%, Santos 80% . Currently under FEED, then FID. Oil production a while off. The FID should cover off the "lowlight" outlined above. One risk you would want to consider is funding of the production phase. The company has stated many times they have a few options, but pain to shareholders is not desired. There is plenty of announcements to go back and see this statement from the BoD.
2) currently exploration drilling Pavo-1 then Apus. Should hit expected oil drill zone over the next 7 to 14 days. Assessed as a 34% (there abouts) success rate. If one or both of these come off they are able to be tied into Dorado therefore input into FID.
3) lots more ground to explore
4) they have $ in the bank, before Pavo and Apus some where like $75m -$100m, but Pavo and Apus will eat into this.
5) once current drilling is known and FID, CVN becomes a TakeOver target.
just a high level summary, and i may have quoted an incorrect figure or two ("success rate" & $$) but they aren't off by much
cheers
