I originally started this post with "Wow!" but while I was writing it, I realised, that it didn't "really" surprise me..

What an act of philanthropy!
Peter Van Der Made is an incredible individual!

I just can't understand why they were all sold on market..

Unless the foundation is in dire need of funds, surely they would be immeasurably better off, holding on to the lion's share of them, for 2 or 3 years at least?

That may well have helped the share price drop. At least the share sale is finished.
No good whinging about a charity donation. Funds still have to buy soon so everything should recover then hopefully

Having worked in a number of charities I can assure you that today's money is preferable to something that may happen in 2-3 years time. These kinds of organisations survive on very tight p[erating budgets so I totally understand the shares bein sold on market at todays price rather than gambling on some other donation coming along to plug the gap for the next few years. Peter, I take my hat off to you.........
