Revenues for the half-year ended 30 June 2022 of $4,831,081 increased 529% from $767,545 in the same period a year ago. The increase in revenue is a result of the partnership with MegaChips and predominantly comprised licensing revenues of Akida 1000 recognised in the current period.

While I would like to be optimistic, I feel that this in not volume based royalty revenue and is more annual licensing revenue that won’t materially scale.

What a great 4D. Megachips has very quickly taken the place many of us originally thought Renesas would occupy. I notice also that there is a brief commentary to the effect that Socionext has been paid an amount for production of engineering samples of the next gen AKIDA chip. Given that, I think we can expect to see an announcement prior to Christmas? :D

We’d better don’t put any expectations, just let the financial figures talk. 👍🤤🎉

I thought we got around 1.2 million USD June quarter and around 120 thousand USD, the previous quarter..

How did it suddenly jump to 4.8 million USD for the half year? 🤔..

Am I missing something?..

Fantastic result!

If someone can help me out, I'm trying to grasp something.......

1. The 4C end 31st March showed receipts of 205K:

2. The 4C end 30 June 2022, showed receipts of 1230K:

3. now the half yearly report shows total revenue of 4.8Million.

So, does that mean there's been a further $3.4million in revenue, other than that reported in the last two 4C's?

(Edit - I didn't see the previous couple of messages before I posted this)

Revenue is recognised when its invoiced pursuant to a contract, not when cash is received. Have a look at the cash flow statement and the receivables in the balance sheet for the full story. Its similar to how WIP (work in progress) is treated..........:)

Haven't seen a more skimpy half-yearly report for I can't remember how long. Even the smallest company I have invested in would have charts, photos, CEO commentary of what had happened and what is in the pipeline. I am a bit shocked to see the quality and presentation of the report from an ASX200 company.

It is one thing to have the most advanced chip in the world, but the way this company treats its shareholders is amazing and may have a contribution to its erratic and way under-valued share price.
