With regards to the whole ML granting needing the tenement palaver sorted out, I wonder if it can be read into much that AVZ met with the new CAMI before their seats had been sat in. Which may have caused Cominiere to predictably rush in or were they already an obvious second in CAMIs mind.
What I would have given to have been a fly on the wall at that meeting, I have since contacted Louie (being french an all) but unfortunately his contacts over there have long since died, the shortcomings of a flies lifespan.
The ICC arbitration stops those cretins from selling or changing anything in specific relation to us. But the way I understood it was that the DRC state itself could still take command over Cominieres share, i.e there was nothing that protects Kibeya so they are infact vulnerable here. The portal is simply some muppet changing a few fields on a screen, this essentially means nothing and probably has a luddite like Kibeya thinking he has won, whereas in reality if a deal has been agreed upon behind the scenes the new CAMI crew would be only too happy to oblige.
Kibeya the stain on humanity that he is claims that AVZ are refusing to meet with him on X. Fucking music to my ears. This would tell me two things, one we confidently hold all the cards here and we absolutely refuse to deal with criminals ! - (we kinda knew)
and more intriguingly it may point towards the idea we are not talking to that dickhead and have demanded to have talks behind the scenes with DRC state reps with the explicit intention to gain an ML and sort out this mess - minus the crime. We know there is some movement over there, and Kibeya is saying its not with him! Perfect!
The large and seemingly ever-growing list of agitators towards AVZs success is almost as bonkers as our projects potential. From the obvious in Cong and Zijin, Kibeya and Loando to the not-so-obvious in what we have seen from Klaus and Peter all working to undermine and essentially make themselves richer via screwing us shareholders. The sheer volume of events and bad actors really cannot be understated. Each time our BOD has been able to repel them so far.
I have personally called for wages to be looked at and why are they not cutting them, along with some other criticisms along the way. But with what is being uncovered which we know is only going to be a fraction of the machinations, I do feel after what we have learnt. I'd say my calls were incorrect. You are nail on head there Bags, our BOD isn't perfect but bloody hell they have had so much more thrown at them than expected, warranted or deserved. Big respect to our BOD and with this latest clown show rolled out by PH I'm even Moreso in the BODs corner, so thank you MMGA.

Where are we with the 10-year agreement in 2022, particularly on lithium, between the DRC and Klaus Peter Eckoff's AJN Resources Inc?

This is a contract which was signed on May 5, 2022 by the Democratic Republic of Congo represented by Mesdames Adèle KAHINDA MAHINA and Antoinette N'SAMBA KALAMBAYI , respectively Minister of State, Minister of Portfolio and Minister of Mines and by Mr. Klaus Peter ECKHOF , president of the Canadian company, AJN RESOURCES INC.
A contract considered to have vague contours by Civil Society Organizations and platforms, which in a press release dated May 31, 2022 had clearly denounced this agreement and asked the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi and the Prime Minister, Sama Lukonde Kyenge , the cancellation of this contract which does not fit into the spirit of the vision of the President of the Republic; " The people first ".
"Representatives of Civil Society had recommended orally to the Cabinet of His Excellency the President of the Republic and to the Government of the Republic to avoid any form of arrangement called CONGO RESOURCES with AJN Resources because it was perceived as a kind of sell-off assets of certain struggling public mining companies for the benefit of individuals in violation of your vision for the management of our natural resources. This was clearly taken up in the Civil Society Declaration of April 15, 2022.” Civil society press release.
A 10-year agreement signed by the DR Congo with the AJN Ressources Inc group on permits not publicly cited, which violates the rules of transparency, procurement procedures, the requirement for a call for tenders by the mining code and article 52 of the same Code which grants only 5 years of research and is renewable only once.
For civil society, this agreement entitled CONGO RESOURCES signed with the AJN Resources group, is a sell-off of the assets of Congolese public mining companies in financial difficulty for the benefit of a few Congolese and foreign individuals, to the detriment of the Congolese population which continues to to sink into a misery which lacks a name despite its riches.
By this signature, CONGO RESOURCES and AJN Resources of Klaus Peter ECKHOF, a Canadian company resembling a commission agent (according to civil society) should mobilize funds on the stock market to finance geological mineral research work for gold and lithium in the Democratic Republic of Congo and this for 10 years, contrary to the Mining Code of DR Congo.
Is it a coincidence or a well-planned strategy only a few months after the submission by DATHCOM and the Australians of AVZ MINERALS of the feasibility study to the Congolese state services, studies entirely financed by AVZ MINERALS and which have added value in terms of international Congolese lithium, should lithium be added to the CONGO RESOURCES contract with the DR Congo?
The signatory civil society organizations and platforms criticize the Canadian group, AJN Resources, for not having expertise in raising and mobilizing funds on the stock market for known mining projects that have been successful in the Democratic Republic of Congo, although its President Klaus Peter Eckoff worked as a geologist or in charge of a few companies in the country.
“The signatories of this press release (…), they had patriotically recommended to the Government of the Republic, on the basis of objective elements, to reject any request for collaboration or any agreement with AJN Resources Inc, because it is not a question a well-known mining company that can say today that it operates such a mine in such a country or such a province of our country; she has never operated a mine, she is a trader, some of whose associates are known in mining circles and those in Civil Society not as miners. » Communique of the Civil Society.
Some Civil Society concerns about AJN Resources and Klaus Eckoff:
- The Civil Society complaint against AJN RESSOURCES on the Toronto Stock Exchange on April 30, 2020;
- The various alerts from local civil societies and the media, and particularly the letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Head of Government, on May 13, 2022 by the Coordination of Civil Society of the Chiefdom of Alur-Djuganda (SOCIDJAL), Territory of and Province of Ituri having for object: ''Withdrawal of the ZANI-KODO Concession from the AJN Resources-DRC contract'' for clearly stated reasons;
- The recent transactions of the President of AJ Resources Inc with another Canadian company named Tantalex (now or becoming Tantalex Lithium Resources which does not officially have a lithium or tantalum license in the DRC) which AFRICA INTELLIGENCE speaks of on January 24, 2021 in its publication entitled: “Klaus Eckoff tiptoes back into Manono’s lithium. »
- We seek the goodwill of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Head of State, for the simple termination of this partnership contract which sabotages his mining vision and ignores his recommendations for good governance of the mining sector beneficial to the Congolese;
- We recommend to the two chambers of parliament to challenge the signatory ministers to clarify the contours surrounding the signing of this contract;
- We ask His Excellency the Prime Minister Head of Government to suspend any execution of this contract and carry out due diligence on all members of the government and official involved in this file;
- We recommend to the Government of the Republic to work with credible and financially viable Majors like other countries including Zambia, Botswana, the Republic of South Africa which have done so and are doing so with First Quantum, De Beers, Anglo American for research, exploration and development of mines without falsely mentioning a false monopoly to justify the fact of working with strangers and brokers in the sector;
- We ask the Minister of Mines to fully publish the various mining permits concerned by this contract;
- We ask civil society in its diversity to remain mobilized to defend the interests of the country and support the vision of the Head of State to clean up the natural resources sector.

The shareholders of AVZ Minerals will meet at a General Meeting on November 23 to appoint 3 directors, in order to regain the confidence of the Congolese Government and all the partners of the "Manonium lithium" project.
Relations between AVZ and government agencies in the DRC are not in good shape, six years after the acquisition by this Australian company, through its subsidiary AVZ INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD, of about 60% of the shares of "DATHCOM MINING", a project set up to promote, among other things, the mobilization of funds to carry out feasibility studies before the stage of the exploitation of a lithium deposit, one of the largest in the world, located in the territory of Manono, in the province of Tanganyika.In accordance with this joint venture contract concluded between partners in January 2017, AVZ, it should be noted, was responsible for managing DATHCOM MINING, by the appointment of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer and the majority of the directors.
Despite the assignment of DATHCOM's key positions to this Australian company, the work stopped net on the ground, there was no transformation of the PR 13359 Research Permit into an Operating Permit; the joint venture contract was also terminated, the PR 13359 Research Permit was, in the end, deregistered in the name of DATHCOM and returned to COMINIERE SA.
Beyond that, the feasibility study was only done on 1/3 of the mining concession, many conflicts broke out between AVZ INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD (a 100% subsidiary of AVZ Minerals) and almost all minority shareholders, it was learned, either because of the opacity and recklessness in management, or because of AVZ's disproportionate appetites to want to appropriate almost all the shares of minority shareholders at a derisory price. Ultimately, the project is at the heart of several trials before national and international courts.
Thus, the shareholders of AVZ Minerals must unite as one man to choose themselves, during this general meeting, its conciliatory leaders, wise and experienced in the negotiations, insist several observers who persist and sign that "it is at this single price that Manono lithium will once again become superb for the good of all, the country, the local populations and shareholders, both DATHCOM MING and AVZ Minerals".
Some are already inviting the directors who will be appointed to be respectful of the Congolese State, the company of the COMINIERE SA Portfolio, holder of the mining title, and the rights of other partners with whom it is necessary to privilege the path of negotiation and not that of trials.
Although, according to some information, the Australian Law Company has begun negotiations with the Congolese Government through the Ministry of Justice regarding the arbitration initiated by the latter against the Democratic Republic of Congo before the CIRDI in New York, - which is appreciable - it should be stressed that DR Congo is not a shareholder of DATHCOM MINING. Its interests are validly represented by COMINIERE SA in the joint venture.
In the new configuration of its management strongly announced in the coming weeks, AVZ Minerals will have to negotiate with:
- the holder of the mining title, COMINIERE SA, holder of 10% of the shares that represents the interests of the DRC in the joint venture,
- DATHOMIR with which it concluded two contracts for the sale of 15% of the shares, terminated contracts
- and JIN CHENG who acquired 15% of the shares from COMINIERE SA.
This is an approach that would, according to many, make it possible to give the project the chance to quickly revive and develop. "Leaving aside the other shareholders would mean leaving intact all the conflicts that undermine the project".
