AVZ Discussion 2022

Thank fuck for some sensible comments.

There were people here whinging about why were we continuing to spend money on developing the site and drilling.

You just answered one MDRY, it was necessary to keep developing the infrastructure to prove our ongoing commitment to the project and people of Manono. And those drilling assays proved the project was worth far greater value than the previous DFS stated which is vital for negotiations (including JV negotiations) and future agreements
The labor being used is recruited locally. Good, meaningful employment for them.
Keeping the locals onside never hurts either.

Assuming the exploration, drilling and early works costs are drawn down to zero, then 4 quarters left. But expecting legal costs to increase, given actual startup work of ICSID preparation and the planned ICC case in Sep/Oct, how much does that leave us? Legal doesn't come cheap. Perhaps 3 quarters of burn I would guesstimate.

That doesn't bode too well, and surely underpins our opponents obvious delay delay delay game. I don't think that the share drawdown facility will be available in suspension (anyone know otherwise?), so I wonder how we would go about a cap raise should alleged negotiations underway at present not reach fruition within 6 months. Has anyone been invested in a company raising during an ASX-enforced suspension?

Time for a drawdown in salary and corporate spending perhaps

The only other thing of note was a few words included in the JC/Com section where it confirms that they are working in concert to unlawfully acquire interests in Dathcom "to the exclusion of the company". Has that last bit been entered before? Might be reading too much into it, just saying that they want those % instead of us, but could also be saying that they are looking to exclude us entirely. Which it's fairly clear now that they are, but nonetheless.

I hope they are maintaining some work for the locals and continuing to support health and education programs in the community......ongoing support from the Manono community is vital in demonstrating we are there to develop the project and provide positive benefits to the lives of those living in the region.

18 and change left, there's been a deal done, portion sold etc (money inwards) otherwise whole show is dead in the water with the cash burn rate. So while its always been we're f#cked or not, this gives me confidence we're very safe.
Should be enough for some quality Caps

To be honest, its a pretty comprehensive summary of where were at.

Also, from page 4:

”The Company completed its early works program in June 2023, including the construction of the camp to accommodate the initial construction workforce in anticipation of Dathcom receiving its long-awaited mining licence.”

Now I'm not about to read too much into that, but at the very least the optics are strong... Basically boots on ground, completing the early works right up to a few weeks back - this combined with the latest drill campaign does give me some (fragile) confidence. It's our fukken tenement, were fukken progressing it, and as a last resort we'll make a very fukken strong case in arbitration.

2.7Q's left, so call it 6 months to get something concrete awarded and get that CATH cash in the bank.

Stay on target Nige, and GLTAH.

Powerage.

Burn rate includes investing activities which shouldn't need to happen again now that drilling has stopped. So we actually have 4.59 (18.949 / 4.128) quarters of funding available at current cost of operating activities. The key question is what percentage of this operating cost is legal fees and how much can we expect that amount to grow with the additional court cases we now have.
View attachment 41134

Yes was kinda my point, in that its the 'current' cash burn, but we won't be burning that. I poorly articulated.

Cash burn included drilling and early works costs. Both finished now. So have 4 quarters of cash left based on current corporate and legal expenditures.

Yes, current cash burn isn't future cash burn. We are good for a year of 'Imminent' news.
Jokes aside though, we are all good money-wise.

Just awaiting the inevitable on the talks with Government, an outcome that will arrive far before our cash burns out.

why are they still working on completing the camp? Assume it's an optics piece but fuck me dead save the money

Wrong. The announcement clearly says the camp has been completed ..... "in anticipation of Dathcom receiving its long awaited mining licence"

“Lisette Kabanga Tshibwabwa notably justified the legality of lobbying in the DR Congo”

Lithium: COMINIERE and the Congolese State paid US$1.6 million for the lobbying of Lisette Tshibwabwa Kabanga

Lithium the ore of the century, that of the eclectic batteries which the whole world is fighting to get in possession of, lithium is a strategic metal for the energy transition, saying the same for the future of our planet, it is also a metal considered critical due to the great risk of its supply by its rarity.
But here we are, in the DR Congo following the politicization of the file, the lithium project of Manono in Tanganyika which should make the DR Congo one of the giants in the world and a main player in the energy transition, in particular to restore the letters of nobility to the country of Lumumba in the global mining sector, is almost at a standstill.
The Minister of Mines of Congo, Antoinette N'Samba Kalambayi by a decree signed on January 28, 2023, had suspended the Exploitation Permit (PE13359) of the joint venture DATCOM granted in April 2022 after the feasibility study of the Australians of AVZ MINERALS, a 75% partner in DATHCOM, following accusations by the state-owned company COMINIERE and hastily in DATHCOM.
COMINIERE had accused AVZ MINERALS of having taken the project and the joint venture hostage, DATHCOM in that it conducted the research and management of the joint venture without involving it from start to finish, in particular of not having not actually done any research.
"The revelations come from a very serious Australian newspaper, which says that it has six million US dollars, which should be paid to a Congolese intermediary, I don't know if it's Mr. Marius Mihigo," said the director . acting general of COMINIERE, Célestin Kibeya accusing the lobbying and mediation of Mr. Marius Mihigo on behalf of AVZ MINERALS.
In reality, AVZ MINERALS had used the service of Marius Mihigo for intermediation (lobbying) in DR Congo, to promote the image of the company and facilitate contacts with the administrations and decision-making authorities of the Manono lithium file, a legal work and legalized, notably recognized in DR Congo and around the world.
Namely that Mr. Mihigo and his company are not paid by the Congolese State, nor with Congolese taxpayers' money, but by private funds from the company, AVZ MINERALS, so Australians are free to choose who and how should work for itself and will only have to report to its shareholders.
But here it is, the same state company accusing of the intermediation of Marius Mihigo, COMINIERE had recourse to Mrs. Lisette Kabanga Tshibwabwa , then responsible for the office of the security adviser of President Félix Tshisekedi , Mr Jean-Claude Bukasa , in particular member and Deputy National Secretary UDPS in relation with the socialist international and the progressive alliances of the UDPS ruling party for the same work.
For having "presented" the Chinese group ZIJIN to COMINIERE and the Congolese State through the Ministries of Mines and the Portfolio, (presented in doubt, since the latter were already in contact with the Chinese of ZIJIN in other projects ).
Mrs. Lisette Kabanga Tshibwabwa and her company Focus pleading , created in 2020, received a retrocommission of US$1,600,000 simply for their lobbying in the sale, or the sell-off according to the IGF (Inspection Générale des Finances) of 15% of the shares of la COMINIERE in DATHCOM, at a paltry sum of US$33,000,000 than the US$150,000,000 of the true market value at the time of the sale.
Mrs. Lisette Kabanga Tshibwabwa contacted on this 15% sale file, had recognized her work of intermediation between the Chinese of ZIJIN and COMINIERE, her stamp of 1,600,000 $US, in particular to justify the legality of lobbying or prohibition in Rd congo.
Because then, why the same COMINIERE through its director, Céléstin Kibeya and some advisers of the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi castigate and consider the same work of intermediation of Mr Marius Mihigo for a private group, which is AVZ MINERALS ?

I'm liking the relative radio silence from the WeChat group today, feel like there is some imminent progress in the works, and everyone is keeping Mum. There also seems to be, according to my source, outside of TSE & HC forums, chatter about some sort of resolution.
Proof will be in the pudding.

Don't bet on it. Matildas tonight showed their brilliant form over last 12 months beating teams like England, Spain, France and Sweden. To beat Olympic champions Canada 4-0 without Kerr was a demolition. Currently $10 to win the Cup:
