It all looked so promising for the US’s growing band of green activist shareholders. A powerful signal to that effect came last month, with BlackRock’s statement that it would support fewer green proposals than last year. The giant asset manager said the proposals were becoming increasingly far-reaching, to the extent that they would interfere with executives’ ability to do their job.
