We had 2.96 quarters of cash at 30th Sept. So plenty of cash right now.
Sean did a presentation to institutional investors when he was here. Obviously he sold the story very well.
Sean talked 'big things' in his very recent video, revenue starts now etc.
I think the raise is more like getting cash to support his ' big talk' which has to be a good thing.
Perhaps things will start to move at last.

As i posted recently the chart shows the SP is ready to break one way or another - The 100day bollingers are as tight as ..... .
Lets hope this is the good news catalyst we have been waiting for.
We all know until we are cash self sustaining raises are a fact of life.
As to downside possibilities there has been a base since Sept'23 - 2 years.
The last lowest low was September 2024 at 15.5 cents. We have made a mountain of progress since then so any move down will be bought and bought big.

Every time something like this happens, we try to spin it into a big positive—and end up disappointed. This time I expect nothing. If it’s just a cold CR with no deeper meaning, so be it. I’m taking it at face value: one more CR, nothing more.

Why we would need cash if we would expect cash? Simple… we wouldn’t

Hi Manny please read the following regarding funding

The ASX requires listed entities to report their estimated quarters of cash funding in their quarterly Appendix 4C or Appendix 5B reports
. If an entity has less than two quarters of funding, they must answer additional questions detailing their future cash flow expectations, funding plans, and likelihood of success. This disclosure requirement ensures the entity can meet ongoing operational requirements, as per Listing Rules 12.1 and 12.2.

To be fair we all knew it was coming, but it would be nice to see something positive to go with it
We will have to wait for the details. I don't mind a CR if it is to produce a product as that leads to revenue and that is the point of all this. A CR to just survive is completely different. So we await the details. A CR so we can tape out AKD1500 and produce 50 million to meet demand would be good. Maybe Frontgrade and Onsor both need chips?
So we wait.

I think that we will need the additional funds now that we are offering chips with that as @Space Cadet said.

IP and software models have virtually no additional cost to produce, but chip production is expensive.

https://yfarmx.com/softbank-and-openai-launch-joint-venture/

Extract with my own bolding :- “

SoftBank and OpenAI have officially launched their long-anticipated joint venture, SB OAI Japan GK, headquartered in Tokyo. Announced today, the partnership aims to redefine corporate management in Japan by integrating OpenAI’s cutting-edge language models and enterprise tools into Japanese businesses and public institutions.

The ownership structure is split evenly between OpenAI and C Holdings, a company jointly owned by SoftBank Corp. (51%) and SoftBank Group (49%). The arrangement positions SB OAI as both a strategic bridge and a commercial conduit for Japan’s AI deployment, part of a broader push toward Masayoshi Son’s long-running ambition to make AI “the engine of every industry.”

A Partnership Years in the Making

This new entity formalises a relationship that has been building quietly for months. SoftBank began investing in OpenAI’s global initiatives and announced plans in early 2025 to roll out AI-driven management tools across Japan. The venture’s launch was originally slated for the summer but was delayed amid structural negotiations and regulatory reviews.

Now live, SB OAI Japan GK will serve as OpenAI’s operational hub for the region, adapting GPT-based enterprise products for Japanese language and compliance requirements. Early focus areas include corporate decision support, automated reporting, and AI governance systems tailored to Japan’s business culture and data standards.

SoftBank’s AI Ambitions

The joint venture marks another chapter in SoftBank’s aggressive repositioning from telecoms conglomerate to AI-first holding powerhouse. Through both SoftBank Group and SoftBank Corp., Son has invested heavily in AI chips, robotics, and infrastructure (from ARM Holdings to BrainChip) and domestic cloud optimisation projects.

By pairing with OpenAI rather than building in-house, SoftBank gains immediate access to frontier models, while OpenAI benefits from SoftBank’s distribution networks and regulatory familiarity in one of the world’s most tightly governed tech markets.”

So akida is inside but not mentioned? Ask for a friend

So I’m expecting a big customer order hence the CR and delay in details with a minimum price of 0.33 cents a share

Someone over the crapper posted this without source…

“Brainchip Holdings Ltd (“Brainchip” or the “Company”) has entered into a trading halt to undertake a Fully Underwritten Institutional Placement of approximately 171.4 million shares at $0.175 per share to raise approximately A$30 million.

The Company also intends to launch a non-underwritten Share Purchase Plan on the same terms as the Offer to raise up to A$2.0 million.”

Just my thoughts… what if they define a capital rise like “we have a big investor and we will get a lot of money which will rise our capital” ???

brilliant GIF

30 million AUD can’t even last a year — can’t afford chip tape-outs. That means we’ll need an extra large LDA capital call.

They may have been offered if a customer of the company handling the raise. The info leaks out pretty quick, hence the trading halt.

That seems not that far off what I would’ve been expecting. Just a plain old CR because we need the money.

I prefer institutions as they will not provide sell side liquidity to LDA. Shorters will be disappointed.
The problem is that until we are cash self sufficient raises are a fact of life. So while i hold i have to accept that.
The last raise to retail and insitutions was announced late July'24 and Institution shares allotted on 1st August and Retail on 22ND August. August'24 saw an 8.11% fall to 16.5%. It hit a low of 15.5 cents early in September and was bought into over subsequent months to 53.5 cents.
Interestingly Shortman show shorts at 27th August at 1.74%. Now they are around 6.3%.
We are in way better shape now than then with actual clients on the hook. Parsons, Bascom Hunter and Onsor. May another couple under NDA?
Falls will be bought into IMO.

Hi jeffwilto,
Agree, however the less than 2 quarters will not apply until the next quarterly report due in Jan'26. Then companies outline plans for a raise or alternative cash source in the report.
Usually arrangements have been made prior to quarterly release and its just a matter of remaining from there.

Its definetly an institutional raise likely with a retail SPP. Sean gave an institutional presentation while in Aus.
The last one was completed in August'24 on the tail end of 6 red months. Shorts at the end of August'24 were around 1.7 - 2%. Shorts are now around 6% plus a bit.
. The SP lost about 8% in August'24 and then was heavily bought into flying 38% up in September'24. December'24 saw a further 53% rise.
So its likely any falls will be bought into.

The company is pushing 1500. The new version will be TENNs compatible. I'm guessing that they have uncovered strong market demand for this. This will be up to 4-bit precision. Akida 2 has 8-bit, so the application does not require that degree of accuracy. 1500 can be used with other CPUs (including RISC-V) as well as ARM.

There may be a big customer, but I doubt we would make chips for just one customer ...

... those blasted blackbirds have eaten the rest of the breadcrumbs.
