OK it is over a year old but here is an Environmental case that was granted the right of appeal to the Supreme Court.
Note the original judgement of the Land & Environment Court of Appeal was dated 22/12/2021. As there were no Nimbys involved I doubt there would have been any delays to ask for the right to appeal

And the Supreme Court delivered it's final judgement on this unrelated case in Stockholm on 5 April 2023
15 months from the date of it's Land & Environment Court of Appeal case.
My point is the entire matter was wrapped up in 15 months including the Appeal being granted and heard .
Our Land and Environment Court of Appeal case was decided on 1 September almost 12 months ago.
We must now be close .........surely

The court's projected time of 1 to 4 months covers 90% of cases, which is why we can still find many examples showing longer time frames.
The good news is that data from the last 3 years shows that we are at the tail end of this process. In previous years, pending cases that are older than 6 months make up 9 to 10%. There is a strong drop off for pending cases older than 12 months: 0.9%
Talga has just crossed 11 months (if going by the original date, and not considering the power of attorney delays).
Happy to get a full allocation. The odds quoted by Gvan are what had me loading up in the low 40's and applying for the raise.
The go ahead will arrive sooner or later. Lock in now and aim for previous highs then blue sky.
If the SP temporarily falls no problem as i am a long term holder and that is just part of the journey.
At 50 cents its a 4.5 times gain from here to previous highs of $2.23 then blue sky.
At $1 SP its still a 2 plus gain.
The go ahead will arrive sooner or later. Lock in now and aim for previous highs then blue sky.

The mining company emphasizes that it is their ambition to extract 16.2 percent of the EU's demand for natural graphite by the year 2030. They must also produce just over 10 percent of the EU's demand for anode material from natural graphite during the same time period. The mining company also believes that Europe's self-sufficiency in the critical raw material for batteries depends on this mine.
Kiruna municipality, for its part, emphasizes that the burden on the municipality is great as a result of the housing shortage and weak municipal finances, not least as a result of Kiruna's city move and other large investments in the municipality.
Kiruna believes that there will only be costs and that no new money will come if the municipality now invests work and money in carrying out a planning procedure for the planned mine in Vittangi.
Another reason for Kiruna municipality's resistance is that the tax that the municipality can levy is a flat tax. Unlike the state tax, which is higher for high income earners, all municipal residents must pay the same amount of kroner per hundred in municipal tax, regardless of how much they earn. But that is not the only problem. Many of those who work in the mine do not pay income tax at all, because they have become an increasingly large group that works according to fly in, fly out, and thus not a single tax kroner comes to the municipality.
The mining company has come a long way in the permit process, but now lacks the necessary up-to-date detailed plan.
A secure and sustainable supply of minerals and metals is necessary to enable green social construction, strengthen competitiveness, electrify Sweden and strengthen Swedish defense capabilities. The fact that Talga has taken this step could suggest that the current Supreme Court matter is not close to resolution.

Anyway where is the SC decision ? we know ( or it seems like) it has moved away from the Judge(s).
FFS…at least a week now since we learnt that “there was movement at the station as word had got around”
Now what is the delay ?
Do they chisel this decision into a tablet of graphite ?

I understand your first point. I see the second one differently. I think the detailed plan has nothing to do with the SC decision. The plan is necessary to be able to finally start building. All permits could be in the pocket, Natura2000, environmental permit, processing concession and even the head of Bergsstaaten can hold his ceremony, but if the detailed plan is not available, nothing will be built.
But I agree with your first point. No matter where I look, local politics and this one party are using every dodge to slow things down. Not only once did I think of sabotage. Every time I think of Lulea. I don't know whether the municipality will now legally build in the fifth attempt. There seem to be too many stupid mistakes for me not to think like that.
I think the board must have thought about suing the municipality several times. It's been more than a year since construction could have started.
On the other site/topic, I think Talga had no choice but to approach the government. I don't trust the sunny boy politician in Kiruna one bit/mm. Clearly against it with many arguments and even now he demands money directly from Talga. Then he votes in favour of the project to keep up appearances when he sees that the majority is against it. He has zero interest in the cause or climate protection. He's only interested in money for his empty coffers. Moreover, the guy is not only hypocritical but also not the brightest. He makes sure that Talga burns money, investors lose patience and then demands that Talga build houses. With what money? Besides, he is against it, even though he voted in favour.
Then his two party colleagues Samelli. Apparently in favour, but behind the scenes against it because their colleagues from Kiruna are against it, who knows. Don't even get me started on the feminists party.)
I think Talga has no other chance as to go through the legal process step by step with good lawyers and top advice.
Personally, I would no longer trust local politics up there if I would be an employee of Talga.
Let's wait and see how the state of Norrbotten acts when they get the task of Talga's detailed plan on the table.
Talga can't negotiate with the local party of Kiruna, otherwise we would have seen some results in the last two years.
Had Talga not approached the government, sunny boy would still be grinning at the camera and Talga would be patiently waiting for the plan that will never be finalised, because the party never intended to.
All just my guess and gut feeling.
