Couple of other pertinent excerpts that might cover it off, even as non sensitive.

As the name suggests, a ‘ramping announcement’ is made with a view to ‘ramping up’ the price of securities and can take a variety of forms. Examples include announcements that contain no new material information or substance but are issued under the guise of ‘business updates’ or on the back of strong market sentiment in a sector. A quick series of announcements intended to pique investor interest but which aren’t particularly material can also be ‘ramping announcements’.

ASX has previously observed instances of ‘ramping announcements’ being made just prior to or after a capital raising, presumably with the intent of boosting the raising price or the post raise trading price or following the appointment of advisors where they are remunerated in securities.
I guess it all comes down to why the ASX actually exists.....

And what is the purpose of any stock exchange.......

Stock exchanges are organized and regulated "places" (much trading today is virtual) where stocks and other types of securities are bought and sold. They play a crucial role in the financial system by providing a platform for companies to raise money by selling their stocks and bonds to the public.12 Apr 2024

I think we are going down the wrong path here. This arguement can go round in circles all night. I was hoping that there would be something in the 1/2 year to show us in a positive light and the Airbus/Frontgrade-Geisler news is what I hoped for.

But once again it is buried.

The Company HAS a major problem with the ASX, either move to another exchange or take the company private. Death by a thousand cuts that are diluting existing holders is ..........poor form (near typed something else there)

You're right about this could go round in circles.

Not sure that pretty much top of the second page after the templated preamble companies do and the SPP which was a major happening straight after the June 30 would be classified as "buried" imo anyway.

Would I prefer a standalone ANN...yes, as I said previously. Will we get one, unlikely.

As per what I posted previously and as summarised by solicitors better versed in ASX rules than me, these are the guidelines implemented by the ASX not BRN.

BRN can follow them to the letter or test the boundaries and get potential penalties....I know what I can live with even if not my preference.

Hi Dio,

So, if our goal is to make it on to the Nasdaq, and we are forever pumping news into the American newswires but not the ASX because that news is seen as fake news on our shores. Um, how does that help our case for inclusion on the Nasdaq.

If we make it on to the Nasdaq, do we treat them the same as we did the ASX and only post news on Australian news feeds?

Anyway, If you are still reading my ramblings,

A serious question..........

Can Airbus use TENNs with the Akida gen 1?

Is there any reason why the algo can't be tuned to run on AKD 1 or 1.5?

Hi FJ,

Nasdaq is a way off yet. We need steady income and a much higher share price, but, if BRN is to reach its financial potential, it will need to be there. There simply isn't enough liquidity on the ASX.

TeNNs algorithm can be used without Akida 2. It can run on a CPU/GPU, but, in silicon, it is an integral part of the Akida 2 SoC IP as each node includes a TeNNs circuit.

So I suppose it can be used with Akida 1 and a suitable processor. I don't know if the inbuilt Cortex is up to it.

If this was announced to the market at the time of signing, I wonder how much more money could have been raised thru the SPP?
I think the agreement was signed in August, so maybe it wasn’t a done deal when cap raise was announced..

My question on that point...

Do they generalise the Akida1500 reference SOC as Akida1.0 Gen also, like a catch all given it's not Akida 2.0 Gen.

They only say Akida 1.0 not AKD1000 or 1500.

Reason is, I'm sure I've read previously when looking at NASA, Vorago etc the FD-SOI 22FDX is a well suited process for space, rad hard type use too.

Given this is what Frontgrade and Airbus appear to be about in the ESA project is it 1500 or 1000?

Maybe it is just 1000 as a bench test POC, Dev or similar initially then step up to the 1500?

Doh! Dopey bugger

Appears my question on 1500 was already answered in the original BRN LinkedIn post picked up by @supersonic001

Missed that bit...note to self...pay more attn to detail...guess makes sense though being on the 22FDX...also says they're using our IP as well as the Noel-V processor which is obviously based on RISC-V architecture.

A couple of years ago ESA launched their Discovery program. I noticed one of the selected parties not long ago also posted about getting their hands on Akida.

Wonder if it was because of their work on this project?

Smarter satellites: ESA Discovery accelerates AI in space.

"The selected ideas involve new technologies developed outside the space sector – including blockchain, edge computing, and neuromorphic computing (inspired by the workings of the human brain)," says Gabriele. "The ideas address amazing applications across the space domain including early detection of methane gas and natural disasters, autonomous rovers on the Moon, space surveillance and tracking – all because information could be processed more efficiently."

Below is the list of Discovery programme projects resulting from ideas submitted through the Open Space Innovation Platform (OSIP) Campaign 'Cognitive Cloud Computing in Space'. For each idea, only the prime contractor is mentioned, but the projects will be implemented by larger consortia.

Dual-camera satellite with onboard AI-based decision-making capabilities (OHB Hellas)

Aiming to demonstrate how AI could enable new capabilities in future Earth observation satellite missions. The project targeted both high spatial and temporal resolution imaging with minimal use of space and ground resources. AI was used to fine-point the high-resolution camera towards specific area of interest, after they have been detected in low-resolution images.

One thing that shareholders might want to consider, with all these ramping "guidelines" by the ASX, is when they came into affect and why..

"The use of ‘ramping announcements’ has been on ASX’s radar for some time now. Listed companies should carefully consider the content of and language used in market announcements, following ASX’s latest update to Guidance Note 8, which came into effect on 5 June 2021"

Hmmm the timing of the changes seem to ring a bell, with something else that was happening at the time..

Wasn't there some upstart company, with close to zero revenue, that was close to becoming a "Unicorn" (One Billion Dollar market cap) Company?

Story goes (I say story, so I don't need to back it up, but it happened, as was relayed by FactFinder, presumably by way of information from Tony Dawe, at the time)..
That BrainChip management (this was well before Sean) met with ASX execs and basically asked..
"So what do you want us to do? Please tell us where the boundaries are, of exactly what we can and cannot say or do"

The ASX execs basically replied with.
"We're not going to tell you "exactly", but if you do, do something wrong in our eyes, we will come down on you, like a tonne of bricks".

In spite of all this and no "fault" of BRN's, the share price continued to strengthen and then, with a comment from Mercedes as a catalyst, we went on to become one of the Top 200 ASX listed companies and all, with close to zero revenue.

For the first 2 or 3 months, the ASX, wouldn't even "acknowledge" us, in the ASX200 Top 5 movers (stating some kind of "system error"..).

I'll spell it out plainly..

The ASX (as an Entity) HATE us.
HHHATE US.

Maybe they laid some side bets against us, along the way, that went sour, who knows?..
What? People don't think, that those running, what is basically a rigged Casino, don't lay some "rigged" bets down as well??..

Honesty and Integrity, aren't any of Humanity's standout, or prevalent qualities, especially where Big Money is concerned, or is to be made.

The larger the Organisation, the bigger and deeper the rot and the harder it is to cut out.
(okay, that's my everything is corrupt beef for today 😛).

The thing is, that the Company basically needs to "tip toe" around, anything to do with the ASX (as they are, in part at least, the reason why the rules were changed).
That's on top, of the Company wanting to portray the right "culture" for Future entry into the NASDAQ, the right image, for the type of Companies we're dealing with and the way "US Companies" go about business (this is more so, since Sean's tenure).

And would anyone here, "really" be happy, if they threw as an ASX announcement bone? With a few morsels of meat on it, when we actually want the Real Deal, which will speak for itself, when it comes?..

Even if we didn’t have NDA ‘s we would still have nothing in our financial reports.

I really want this company to do well, the little Aussie battler, but for what ever reasons it’s just not gaining much traction as yet.

Yes we are getting some attention but nothing concrete just yet
Is there a big surprise coming for us lth in the next month, god I hope so.

Bravo

If ARM was an arm, BRN would be its biceps💪!
Following on from @Bravo's post about Parsons' takeover of BlackSignal, and our Blue Ridge connexion, Blue Ridge being a BlackSignal company, you'd have to think that that is part of the military interest in a "broad range of tactical devices".

By taking over BlackSignal, Parsons has expanded its ecosystem from the army and intelligence to include the air force, navy and DARPA.

My feeling is that, along with the expanded ecosystem, Parsons were keen to acquire some digital SNN capability.

BrainChip and Blue Ridge Envisioneering Collaborate on Next-Generation Tactical Edge Devices

Laguna Hills, Calif. – April 10, 2023 BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN, OTCQX: BRCHF, ADR: BCHPY), the world’s first commercial producer of ultra-low power, fully digital, event-based, neuromorphic AI IP, and Blue Ridge Envisioneering (BRE), an engineering specialist serving the defense and intelligence communities, today announced a collaboration to support advanced decision-making applications for broad range of tactical devices.

BRE, a Black Signal Technologies company, will integrate BrainChip Akida™ processors in a variety of high-performance applications.

Tactical devices such as these are deployed where they have restrictive thermal requirements and limited access to power yet are required to operate efficiently. Akida’s ability to perform data processing, including AI/ML tasks at the edge, and its power-conserving neuromorphic design makes its utility in military and intelligence settings a potential breakthrough.

“Almost all conventional Deep Neural Networks are developed to run on power-hungry GPUs that strain power systems and generate a significant amount of heat; when data must be processed in real-time on a remote device, the challenge for hardware developers is immense,” said Stefan Moritz, BRE. “BrainChip’s Akida will be useful for tactical devices that ingest sensor data and use AI/ML to improve decision-making.”

“The collaboration with BRE will show how Akida can excel where power and communications are in short supply,“ said Rob Telson, BrainChip Vice President of Ecosystem and Partnerships. “This joint effort will expand the boundaries of what AI at the edge can do in both tactical and commercial applications
.”

Hi Diogenese,

This article talks about Parsons and Rafael jointly bidding for a contract to supply a drone defence system. The contract will be awarded to a vendor by next year.

What caught my eye is that the article (and the solicitation) mentions the system will need to incorporate advance technologies such as networked sensor nodes. No other companies publicly announced bids for the contract and the US Marine Corp are not announcing the number of interested vendors due to the competitive nature of the contract. So, I am assuming that "the competitive nature of the contract" should be interpreted as meaning it will be worth a lot of $$$$.

As you say, now that Parsons have acquired BlackSignal/Blue Ridge Envisioneering they will now have access to digital SNN capability. I can only imagine that this will be a major advantage in helping them secure the contract. 🤞

Rafael, Parsons Jointly Bid to Protect USMC Installations From Drones

Joe SaballaApril 30, 2024
1 minute read

Rafael’s American subsidiary is joining forces with Parsons Corporation to bid on a US Marine Corps contract to protect installations from small drones.
Officials from the two companies told Breaking Defense that their proposed solution will feature the Drone Dome System, which is also fitted into Israel’s famous Iron Dome defense system.
It has an active detection radar, an electro-optical and infrared camera, an electronic warfare jammer, and a passive radio frequency detection system for effective neutralization of approaching hostile drones.
“Rafael has fielded the Drone Dome system since 2016,” company chief technology officer Eric Brown said. “It’s tested, it’s proven… It gets rid of a lot of clutter [and] it makes it very easy for the user to be able to have a clear situational air picture.”
For its part, Parsons will be responsible for program management and systems integration of its proposed solution.
It will also provide sustainment services, making sure that counter-drone systems are in a constant state of readiness.

About the Program

In February, the US Marine Corps issued a solicitation to industry partners for a reliable system that can defend covered assets and personnel.
More specifically, the solution should effectively detect and neutralize group one and two drones, or drones weighing up to 25 kilograms (55 pounds).
According to the service, the system needs to incorporate advanced technologies, such as networked sensor nodes.

Submission of proposals ended last week and the US Marine Corps is expected to award a contract to one vendor by next year.

Apart from Rafael and Parsons, no other companies publicly announced bids for the competition. The service is also not disclosing the number of interested vendors due to the competitive nature of the contract.

Hi BRN holders,

I don’t post on the stock forums but regularly read most of the commentary and genuinely appreciate the contributions of many intelligent posters here.

I am a top 50 holder and have never felt so confident about the success of our company, having spoken to BOD during the last AGM and having done my own research.

I have since doubled my holdings during the SPP period but it was all bought on the market for 2 reasons, 1st to hit the manipulators/shorters directly and 2nd the price being lower.

All I can say is that I won’t be selling the shares unless it has hit my target price.
So, the shorters and manipulators can play whatever tactics they want but they aren’t getting my shares.

If you believe in the company, then the only way to counter the manipulation is to buy more shares if you can afford to or hold your existing holdings tight - the manipulators will have to give up eventually.

Keep the faith chippers, our time is coming.
If any genuine shareholder wants to make contact then they can do so via this forum - I won’t be replying to non holders/ non believers and/or trolls !!

DYOR, no financial advice etc……
