I'm Spartacus!
Do you have NBN fibre to the curb or still on telstra copper?
Still on Telstra copper but who knows what state it's in by now. Planning a shift to Tasmania over the next year or so and will be looking for a nice fibre connection from when they were still halfway serious about bringing us into the 21st century and were trialling big boy options. Just hope they had professionals when they installed the link across Bass straight and sealed the cable properly. 🤣

I’ve heard starlink is very good and the speeds are a lot faster than most internet providers

This CrowdStrike BS, while not "directly" relatable, is a boon for the advancement of Neuromorphic Technologies.

How many things are on the blink around the World, due to this "connectedness"??

Technologies of the Future, need to be more independent.

Dependence on the Cloud/Internet infrastructure, is a crutch.

The irony is that, in its original conception (ARPANET?), the internet was supposed to be able to maintain communications despite major infrastructure damage. Now it has become the greatest single point of vulnerability - too many eggs in one basket?

The projects will form the basis of a cooperative network with excellent semiconductor researchers from the EU and South Korea, said Lee Jong-Ho, Korean minister for science and ICT.

“We expect to secure cutting edge heterogeneous integration and neuromorphic technologies necessary for next-generation AI semiconductors and autonomous driving applications in the four […] projects.”
