It’s cold here in Perth so Heat Belts are a must.
Nice production line!

I tried my first “scotch” yesterday (about 12 months in storage) and by the time I realized, half the bottle was gone. Nice oak flavour, some on the rocks and a few with coke.. Bit foggy this morning…….

Hi Hoots!
Hows the creepy lurker life mate?
I posted a mesage to you on HC, but puzzelingly, it got moderated, I can't imagine why.
I didn't want you to miss it, or anyone else to miss it, so I'll copy/paste it here for you mate.
I don't want you to miss out on what's comming to you.

Message is as below:

"Hey @h00ts, have you ever pondered how wonderful it is here at hot crapper for you?
I mean man... just the freedom is something else isn't it?

You can freely, assisted by mods, shit can on people who have died and turn their demise into something you can use to add to your trolling of holders.
You were like... "hahaha, look at that guy who died as an AVZ holder, ha ha, must have been the stress! LOL"

I mean what an age we live in, where someone like you can exist in a community without getting shanked in the back, as you would if you carried on like you do amongst real life people.
Classic Hoots."

The irony is; the 'Huxter of Hinchinbrook' AKA the 'Cardwell Creeper', has no heart!

Look, there's a simple to solution to all this! Either don't go to the crapper or if you do then put that dopey old prick on ignore.
The rest of us don't want to know about him and you're giving us a headache.
Not ideal first thing on Monday morning...
We don't need his soiled fecal incontinence nappy aired out over here. 💩

Alleged embezzlement of public funds in the Senate: the Minister of State in charge of Justice instructs the Police and the IGF to launch a judicial investigation!

1720397554014.jpeg

After a few days of silence, the Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Constant Mutamba, has finally reacted to the "financial scandal which would weigh on certain members of the former Senate Office".

Indeed, in a press release dated Saturday July 6, 2024, the office of the head of Congolese Justice informs that the latter “has just instructed the Inspector General of the Judicial Police of Prosecutors to urgently launch a judicial investigation, with the assistance of the IGF (General Inspectorate of Finance), in order to enlighten the population and establish, where applicable, the responsibilities of each party."

In another press release dated the same day and still signed by his office, Constant Mutamba suspended the debit movements of the bank account of FRIVAO (Special Fund for Distribution of Compensation to Victims of Illicit Activities of Uganda) opened in the books of RawBank, pending the final report of the audit carried out by the General Inspectorate of Finance on the activities of the said Fund.

Just before Constant Mutamba's intervention, the ACAJ (Congolese Association for Access to Justice) unreservedly denounced the silence of the Congolese justice system following serious suspicions of misappropriation of public funds weighing on the former Office of the Senate.

They recommended to the Court of Auditors to seriously investigate the facts attributed to the members of the provisional Bureau headed by President Pascal Kinduelo, as well as to the former definitive Bureau, which was headed by Modeste Bahati Lukwebo; and already take precautionary measures, in particular prescribing a ban on leaving the national territory and freezing the accounts of people suspected of being involved in the commission of said acts.

South Kivu: nearly 150 Chinese companies operate illegally in the province!

The province of South Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is the scene of mining activity that has been intensely scrutinized in recent times.

According to recent revelations from Governor Jean-Jacques Perusi, no less than 145 Chinese mining companies are currently operating in flagrant violation of the laws in force.

The results of a study carried out by local students have highlighted an alarming situation: many of these companies no longer have valid operating permits, a neglect which particularly affects the districts of Fizi, Mwenga and Shabunda.

Jean-Jacques Perusi stressed that these companies often obtain permits in a dubious manner in Kinshasa, even though they expired several years ago, between 2013 and 2016.

Despite this, they continue to extract mineral resources completely illegally, thus depriving the Congolese state of significant revenue.

This observation led the Governor to directly question the Chinese ambassador in the DRC, revealing that even after the closure of six companies and three mining cooperatives, they quickly resumed their activities without respecting local administrative decisions.

( Sound Familiar )

Faced with this worrying situation, Jean-Jacques Perusi promised strict measures to deter this harmful practice which threatens not only legality, but also the economic stability of the region.

This problem is not isolated to South Kivu; Similar cases have been reported in the neighboring province of Ituri, where Chinese companies are also operating in violation of Congolese mining regulations.

From The West Australian

Global Lithium Resources dragged into AVZ Minerals drama with ‘board changes’ imminent

The Perth-centric tussle to seize control of Congo cautionary tale AVZ Minerals is believed to be behind a mysterious trading halt by Global Lithium Resources.

Global Lithium paused the exchange of its shares on Tuesday morning “pending an announcement to the market regarding board changes” expected to be released by the end of Thursday.

The West Australian understands the upcoming “board changes” announcement relates to recent developments from the now-delisted AVZ Minerals. Last month Subiaco-registered Resource Capital Investments lobbed an offer to buy up the shares held by AVZ’s institutional investors for 1¢ apiece.

Filings to the corporate regulator revealed that Michael Carrick and Geoff Jones are the directors of Resources Capital Investments.

Mr Jones is also the chairman of Global Lithium.

A spokesman for the West Perth-based Global Lithium declined to comment.

Based on The West’s calculations, Resource Capital’s offer to only the institutional end of AVZ’s register would cost about $5.9m, if all shareholders were to accept.

That slice of shares would have been valued at about $467m back in April 2022, the month before AVZ fell into a trading suspension from which it would never return as disputes over ownership of the Manono project began to unfurl.

AVZ’s board told shareholders not to “surrender” their shares to the “opportunistic and inadequate” Resource Capital offer.

The offer is an attempt to acquire control of the board of directors of AVZ and the Manono project, without paying fair value to shareholders,” AVZ said in a statement.
