Wow @Scoota30 can eat my words from yesterday, if my post wasn't already removed by the troll in our midst.
"This gesture is supportive of the United States’ brokered peace discussions between the DRC and Rwanda. Beyond contributing to the sustainable development of critical minerals, the Manono Lithium and Tin Project can be a vector to promote peace and prosperity in the region. The Company is working towards this objective, in particular through its current commercial discussions, including those underway with Kobold Metals Company as announced by AVZ on 9 May 2025."
That's really some bold public words from our management, it's going to be very interesting to see how this plays out.Enjoy the next few weeks
- The part you quoted = The US is using AVZ/ICSID as leverage to broker the peace deal
- Last paragraph = Ultimately we still hold the cards

I’d wager CATH and Zijin and possibly Rio/Saudis/which other third party who wants a stake.“This gesture is supportive of the United States’ brokered peace discussions between the DRC and Rwanda. From my understanding, it’s not just Kobold — AVZ is in talks with others too????
November 2022. I'm fineLol yeah ,I just have to write my mind here because I’m being honest and sincere ,how long have you been here and how are you coping
Side note, if the chinese keep the north & the US get the south - long term it will be really good for the DRC people to have both heavy weights incentivised to work closely together and it might just keep the Chinese more honest in production. Obviously all the corrupt ***** get away with murder, but for the Manono community & overall DRC civilians it presents a really good opportunity.I’d wager CATH and Zijin and possibly Rio/Saudis/which other third party who wants a stake.
I’d also wager a package has been drafted and is going through its final cross the t’s and dot the i’s etc.
DRC probably stuck between a rock (China) and a hard place (USA).
I think Zijin will be forced to pay compensation and that may be the sticking point for the DRC.
Payment instructions ? I can't see the section CASH only
It's just under 'Brown Bags' - check again.Payment instructions ? I can't see the section CASH only

If i was a betting man I would agree with you that Comineires grubby hands aren't anywhere near the Southern section.Just to remind everyone, "The Company further advises that prior to the suspension, the ICSID Tribunal dismissed an application by the DRC to bifurcate the arbitration proceedings, which sought a preliminary hearing in relation to certain allegations raised by the DRC".
The bifurcation was requested by DRC on grounds of jurisdiction I.E. Management are clearly saying we are willing to negotiate but we/internationally its known we are in the right. The tribunal clearly believes the Jurisdiction challenge was not strong enough to warrant early dismissal.
@Scoota30 I think the best case would be if we could negotiate cominiere completely out of any settlement with DRC/Kobold by virtue of them already carving out the north as there 25% of the Dathcom JV (i.e no payment or settlement needed for them taking it just accept it as part of them dissolving the Dathcom JV and ceede 100% of the south to kobold in exchange for our multibillion settlement).
I think youl find the DRC's 2nd hole from the front is about to be reamed, with the added beneifit of no lubeThe “certain allegations” were the last remaining “trump card” (no pun intended) the DRC had in their armoury, to hopefully get themselves out of the biggest fucking hole that they have dug for themselves.
They now understand the “First Law of Holes”
That would be 90% to Kobold and as per law 10% will have to go to DRC government.Just to remind everyone, "The Company further advises that prior to the suspension, the ICSID Tribunal dismissed an application by the DRC to bifurcate the arbitration proceedings, which sought a preliminary hearing in relation to certain allegations raised by the DRC".

Exactly.... that are my thoughts too.....the magic word is, including those underway with Kobold......“This gesture is supportive of the United States’ brokered peace discussions between the DRC and Rwanda. Hopefully Trump’s tariffs on China extends to brown paper bagsThat would be 90% to Kobold and as per law 10% will have to go to DRC government.
Only the ICSID case against the DRC government has been postponed at this stage.
The ICC cases against Cominière and Zijin's subsidiary are still ongoing.
With an outstanding fine of 39 million Euro's with interest accumulating and 2 non compliance fines still clocking up for Cominière, on a daily basis, also still ongoing, plus a fair compensation for the northern section + the camp and, not to forget, the drilling core library, which is worth a fortune.
There is some ammo for negotiations.
AVZ - CATH/CATL negotiations are highly likely also ongoing.
Any other contenders, if there are any, will have to move pretty fast.
Never underestimate the Chinese, they will not be sitting on their hands.
CATL dearly needs a good supply of good quality lithium to replace their crappy lepodite.
BYD sources its lithium, from Brazil I believe.
Just some food for thought.
Why is the forum full of fucking retards and trolls who have free reign to remove members posts?I’m glad I got everyone laughing already ,im just being real ,I believe real doesn’t get you to anywhere much this days ,but i believe greatness can start from somewhere
